When should exterior (cf) parts be order-able?

I know MOPAR is charging an exorbitant amount ($12,000) for the Aero kit (front and rear spoiler).

What about the side ducts and rear applique? Interior?

Can you order them separate? Anyone know prices?

I hope SRT does something about the mopar prices, $12,000 for what is a $4,000 package when you order the car, is just unforgivable.

Not happy at all with Mopar on this. How can they justify charging $12,090 for the carbon aero when the factory option price is $4,800 installed? On principle, I won't buy that. And the exterior carbon, same issue. People know when they are being taken advantage of. This has been a thorn in my side for the last couple of weeks. Just burns me up. I'd like to have some freakin' downforce on the racetrack.

How is this different than the dealership that had a $50,000 mark up on their Gen Vs when they first arrived? It's not. It's just greed. I walked out of that dealership, drove 10 miles and ordered mine with zero mark up. People that can afford to buy a Viper are intelligent enough to know when someone is trying to pull a fast one on them. Guess what? The dealership that I purchased from sold all of their Vipers. That other dealership still has those first two Vipers on their lot. There is karma in the world.

Mopar needs a reality check on their pricing. I'm a fan of SRT, but not Mopar until they change things.

I was quoted $12,090 list price for the carbon aero package from a dealer.

Agreed, Agreed, AGREED! $4,800 is already too much for what you get, $12,090 I can't even describe without sounding like a lunatic. I'd prefer OEM CF pieces but at these prices the aftermarket will get my money when they release theirs.

Thats carzy. The aftermarket is starting to come through a little bit. Seibon is making some carbon parts for the GEN V. The big thing I saw was the carbon rear diffuser.

Seibon will eventually get my business. I saw their rear CF beauty panel (around the tail lights) was $1,600. That plus a copy of the rear OEM aero lip is all I need in the back and at most should be $3,200 combined. That IMO is reasonable and will set the rear off nicely while providing some function.

I'd love for them to validate their products, because there is surely a market.

My gripe is, we jumped in and ordered early, supporting SRT and this is how it is repayed. It is disappointing.

If anyone is interested in these parts please feel free to reach out to me. I can take better shots etc of whatever you guys would like to see.

We are now working on the carbon rear air ducts (behind the doors), the front bumper brake ducts in carbon. The rest of the parts are going to be available in 3-4 weeks.

    Thank you,

Just glad to finally get my car back again

If you guys are relying on a reasonable price from Seibon, you'll have to redefine "reasonable". The quality is there, but so are their prices!

Rob, Great. Could you post better pics of the front bumper pieces? I'll be in the market early next year for some of the CF goodies, glad you guys are making them.

I'm hoping to have some prototype pieces of the carbon aero group (aftermarket) in the next couple weeks. Another Gen 5 owner has produced them. Once available, I'll likely be a dealer for those parts - since they prefer to remain in the manufacturer role.

Price is a lot less for the package. They are also making some in a darker carbon finish, almost black.

Great ! How about a paintable model, for those like me, not a big fan of CF, who would prefer to match the gloss black rear panel of the GTS, or have it body colored ?

What kind of Rear aero lip are you guys referring to? The diffuser? They have that.

    Bob,
They are referring to the piece on the trunk lid.

Mmmmm more info please . I'd strongly consider a pre painted gloss black aero package. I'm sure that would be a ton cheaper than the pretty CF stuff.
