Seems like this should be something Dodge should address.

Has anyone gone through warranty over this? My car is starting to show signs of this excessive heat on the passenger side.
I took it into dodge and they took pictures of it and now are waiting on "SRT engineer" phone call (that was 3 days ago)
Also the xpel on that rocker has wrinkled.
Picture attached.
Really? So you did take it to the dealer and they have done nothing about it? Or was this the black car that was repainted?
Correct pics and everything were taken and its been about a month now and haven't heard back

I took cats off and it is burning the black paint at the exhaust tip. Oh well. I actually had to order a new driver side sill as our tech didn't tighten the bolt and it torched the driver side sill and rear inner fender well.
I am just going to say this, nobody get Agency Power Titanium exhaust, the tips do not extend far enough and when I called.emailed them they said oh well. So I do not recommend them at all.
When I tracked our 2015 T/A2.0 at the UTCC my car had yellowing around this area (blue car) and ultimately had some disfiguring of the plastic. While unfortunate, when tracking a car heat is an issue and wrapping will help. We have wrapped out 2017 ACR-E and will see how it helps.
This will happen regardless of what you do, unless you completely remove the cats and wrap the pipes. You can get them to warranty it, but it will happen again at some point.
The explanation is it gives the car "character." Some of the white TA 2.0's at Bondurant had the whole sill turning yellow from running in high heat and hard track miles.
I want it replaced under warranty and then I'll rip out the cats for ARH and VE titanium catback.
last year I noticed it happening to my white car. I quickly corrected it with highflows........... but denied paint warranty due to high flows. I addressed it pretty early, so not too concerned about it. I just couldn't pass up another opportunity to complain about FCA!
I noticed this on my 14 silver srt around 500 miles. A&C installed my belangers & hi-flows/tune at 900 miles. No further coloring & sills never get much over warm(huge difference). best mod. next mod, VE suspension.
How does this bode for someone taking factory delivery and driving 2,000 miles back home?
Has anyone just wrapped the cats/pipes without doing mods?
I don't have any whatsoever on my white ACR-E with stock exhaust, but it hasn't been tracked.
do yourself a favor & get rid of the stock cats (4)..
Same issue on my 14 white GTS. Only on the inside so I don't worry about it.
This happened on my white gts and it was covered and repainted under warranty.
Didn't happen on my side sills but I stopped it from happening by switching to the Partsrack/Belanger catback and high flow cats. When I took off the sills to perform the exhaust swap I found that the yellowing was happening under the sill plate cover just beyond where the black metal heat shield is installed under the sill.

It happened on my 2015 which is bone stock with ~7K miles (but has not been tracked). Light discoloring on the outside on both sides towards the front near where it meets the hood, but more noticeable on the drivers side. I'll just get rid of the cats and then repaint. Annoying for sure because it stands out (to me) due to the otherwise amazing white paint, but not the end of the world.

Any official word on this from FCA? I'd like to take factory delivery, and would have a 2,000 mile trip back home.
No word yet for me. I'll call them Monday for an update.
I recall seeing a pic where the silver insulation wasn't fully to the edge of the panel, maybe that contributed?
It seems like many would just dump the stock cats, I'd rather avoid doing all that if possible.
Noticed this issue on all the white Bondurant cars and my neighbor's white ACR-E with just over 1200miles on it and the suntek PPF is bubbling.
I'm looking for exhaust options before it happens to my white ACR. What brands are there now?
Belanger...Corsa... Agency power...anymore? Recommendations? Best place to buy from?
Thanks.
ARH dude. Their headers and Corsa exhaust.
