The GenV is just plain fan-friggin-tastic, I'm blown away.

So my new '13 loaded GTS got delivered by Tom Sessions today, did his magic with Belangers, motul, mobil1, etc. we have snow on the ground and its 18degrees, but no way I wasn't going to take it for a drive.

Just wow. I remember when I first moved from my gen2 to gen3 and then gen3 to gen4, both times I was a little remorseful and the cars grew on me quickly. This gen5 had me at hello. The interior is just sick, the Laguna is crazy nice, the stereo is ridiculously the best I've had in any car, the ride is amazing, so smooth in stepreet mode and on rails in race mode. I could slather on and on, but man the main thing - it pulls like a freight train, 3rd and 4th are nuts, and I couldn't really let her go even because traction was horrible in the cold.

I literally didn't want to get out of this car.

I know we speculate about why these things had stuttering sales, but I do believe if people can test drive them they'd buy them. If I test drove this car I don't think I could walk out without it. I know I'm a Viper guy, but as seriously objective as I can be, this car is simply amaze-balls. I'm so flipping happy, had to share.

Thanks to the VOA for the leads on finding the car and thanks to Tom Sessions for awesome quality work as always, and mostly, thanks to SRT and Ralphie Boy - them Dodge boys know how to make a car.

Now, to install the TA spoiler I got from JonB ... as soon as the temps get above 20, lol.

Congrats! These are amazing cars. Watch out for the mentally absent drivers up in NoVa and have fun. Especially when the snow melts.

Totally agree with you, I love this gen 5 Viper, why sales are slow is beyond me??

I drove mine to work appointments and everything today, over 100 miles, of course it was 72 degrees here

This is the only car I've ever owned in my life that I do not think I could ever part with. I may add another Viper down the road, but this is a keeper. I really do love it more every day. 'Til death do us part!!!

Congrats Dave. You waited many moons for this moment! Oh, and just wait until you get it on the track. It will blow your mind.

You know....I'v had a few nice cars over the past few years...C6Z, M3, Gen II ACR, GT2, 997TT, Gallardo...and I must agree. I'm seriously impressed with this thing as well. I have the same basic car as you do...13 GTS, Track Pack, Laguna interior, HK stereo...it's just a really fine car. Power for days...stops and corners with the best of them and looks phenomenonal. In my past 5 days of ownership I'v added a Corsa exhaust...a MUST..and restriped her with matte black...waiting on shift knob and lowering caps...I seriously can't wait to get all this stuff on a d keep going at it. I'm over 200 miles in 5 days and I'v been grinning ear to ear since the 1st minute. I just can't seem to get a grasp on why the cars sales are so dismal. I hope someone reads this post an and at least goes to test drive one.

Congrats on your purchase! The car truly is ridiculously special, and relatively few will ever know that. Lucky for us, sad for other enthusiasts who would also like it if only they hadn't read those early idiotic rag comparos where they rated the Fiesta or whatever above it

Real car enthusiasts and gearheads love and understand the car.

Most pantywaist limp wristed journalists and the walking public that want autonomous driving cars don't.

...and with that steal of a deal you got!!! What an amazing feeling to be driving a car like that for what you paid. Makes it that much sweeter IMO. Can't wait for my day to come

    Enjoy it!

Sounds awesome. You are making my wait for my Viper to be built unbearable!

As to why sales are slow, ~80% of new Z06's are automatics. Most people are intimidated by high HP manual cars and take the pussy/lazy option.

I made similar comments like you just did, on this forum, when I got my 2013 in October. She has now been sitting for 5 weeks due to crappy roads and weather, and I am going through major withdrawal! As I've only been able to get 400 miles on her since delivery. You can bet this spring and summer, that will change! The BEST VIper yet, once the BEST cars on the road, period.

Congrats, and please bring her to our C&C in West Chester when the weather gets nice!
