It is an auction house. However it has become a branding opportunity. Almost like a trade show, car show, and auction mixed into one. there are vendors selling their car related shit. Auto mfgs are there giving rides in their newest performance cars (In the case of Chrysler, we got hot lap rides on their little road coarse in a Gen 5 as well as rides on a 1/16 mile drag strip in two Hellcats racing each other). There has got to be close to 100,000 people there and very few are actually there to buy stuff.

For the Vipers, the AZ region always groups to go see the show as it is local and it is a cool event just to see so....

Love that shot of us in traffic!!! Gonna have to add that to the clubs Facebook. We were glad to have you, hopefully you can join us more often and eventually have a car too!

Since you post pics of the club cars, i'll post some pics of the Vipers that crossed the block that week.

Does anyone know if that challenger drag Pak car could be made street legal? I know that was basically a turn-key drag strip dominator. But could one make it street legal or due to lack of air bags and other things like that is it basically an impossibility? Sometimes ultra low number cars can have leeway that higher manufactured number vehicles can't.

Also that looked like a gorgeous example of a 96.

Mopar Boy, thanks for posting the great pics of our club snakes. We enjoy having you down here. You are always welcome. Thanks for posting pics of all the white cars. Your subconscious must be telling you it's time for an updated color. You know "yellow" is so yesterday.

    Most welcome!

And no. Not of the Viper crew that I know of. We all know it is overpriced there.

For the challenger, no. There is no VIN, no airbags, it is a gutted shell, improper seating, improper lighting, incorrect driveline for daily driving, and I am sure there will be a few crazy SOBs who will do it with a few components borrowed from a wrecked street car.

Yes. the 96 had 3000 miles on it if memory serves and was super clean.

Haha. Most welcome. And I am devastated to my core. Never thought I would hear a yellow guy speak in such terms!

Nope, no VIN number. And at the rate that their price is climbing, i doubt you or i will ever get a chance to own one and try to drive it on the street. That car went for over $100K

I thought it might be something like that. Complements could (theoretically) be added with enough work but without a Vin No. I don't think you are gonna get around that. Did you see the top gear episode where the driver damn near flipped it?

Good to see the "Tomahawk" bike out there. As I recall there are few of those in private hands. Didn't the Neiman Marcus catalog sell them for around 75k back in 98?

Oh, and was the "car on fire" comment directed at the Gen II with the body sculpted rear wing?

As far as i know there are only 4 in existence...the one there which Dodge owns and three in private hands. I vaguely remember one being sold by Neiman Marcus....but not for how much. The last time once went to auction, i think it hit a million before it sold.

From Wikipedia: "Hand-built examples of the Tomahawk were offered for sale through the Neiman Marcus catalog at a price of US$ 555,000, and up to nine of them might have sold.[1][2] Dodge emphasized that the bikes were "rolling sculptures" not intended to be ridden.[1][3]"

Can't find any sources on the most recent sale....
