To this sites defense or any other there is just no way that is just to ban someone based on opinions and hearsay. Everyone has to draw their own logical conclusions. I don't think anyone should be permanently banned unless they threaten someone or their family in a real world way.

I however would not send my car to this company based on what I have read...

Not necessarily true. I know 3 people whom still have cars trapped in that black hole. All 3 live in the DFW metroplex.

I believe I was mr. Vipair's last victim. Im pretty sure he packed up and left for canada. He sold me "the last set of striker heads". i paypaled him the money and never got the product. Wouldnt return phone calls or emails. couldnt get him to shut up before i gave him money then he dropped me like a rock. Called up the guy who made the strikers and he strongley warned me of steve saying steve tried to scam him as a middle man for his heads. Fortunately i was able to get my money back by calling my credit card and claiming fraud. They investigated steve and shortly gave a full refund. Sorry, i derailed the topic a bit but i thought it should be said cause as i read this thread i realized i never warned anyone of this scammer. Dont know anything about rsi but this is good info to know as i only live an hour from their shop.

Sorry, I shouldn't laugh but the list of people scammed by that guy is incredibly long and yet he is still trying to pull his bullshit. I'm glad you got your money back. I recently received an unsolicited pm from him telling me he had parts ready to go he just didn't have photos yet because they had just moved into their great new facility. I am working out a deal with him that on his next set of body panels includes some oceanfront property in Arizona here. It's a good deal.

He is told not to do these things but he pops up like whack a mole with another fake handle and PMs people and they don't report him. The VOA does care but when someone comes up with fake names it's tough to keep stopping them. If it continues then they may be forced to take some kind of legal action against him but the original goal was to allow him to participate in discussions but he was not allowed to solicit. He keeps breaking that rule and it will not be tolerated much longer I am sure.

Why even allow him on the site at all? If he is a proven scammer, what benefit to the community could allowing him to participate in any discussion be? Really...Thats like letting Jeffry Dahmer cook you dinner..

I believe it was originally out of trying to give him a second chance out of kindness (this club prefers to include rather than exclude if at all possible) but with the understanding he wasn't allowed to push his BS parts sales. He was told this in no uncertain terms. He seems not to be able to keep to that rule though and is continually coming up with new enthousiast ID's

City, you and the other Mods have been more forgiving than any other place, almost to a fault. This guy should be put on double secret probation a long time ago.

Years ago Steve at Vipair was a good customer of mine, having built him a Comp Coupe and Supercharged GTS. I had heard issues about him, but
he always defended himself. My last transaction with him involved some racing body parts. It ended up costing me almost 3k in expense to correct the mis-represented
parts. He asked for documentation, I provided it, never heard from him since. Buyer beware.

Dan, your warning is something every purchase, product irregardless, should have as a caveat. I'm guessing every car line has a vendor with great, ok and poor ratings based on their interactions with customers. Telling others of an experience is one of the greatest advertisements or warnings given to a vendor, IMHO.
