All the money is in Texas. Guess I need to move there...
Roy with TNT was actually very good to me on my 99 GTS with tons of mods he did and always great work. His custom headers were awesome too. He was in direct competition with John H. at the time. Nearly every Houston area Viper owner back in the 90s used him with great success. TNT meant Terpstra and Terpstra but his brother did not do too much. He was known for the King Snake editions.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Db0U8_lW_Ik

Several Aliases, buyer beware:

SP also partnered for a time with known scammer Micheal Nouri (assumed name) of X-Vipers until Nouri screwed HIM of many of them! Chris Marshall then collected the remaining chinese-cloned parts at X-Vipers for SP, and distributed those parts thru the VPA, many as 'gifts' to regional clubs. Much was unsellable quality junk.
Quality stuff right here!

I can't believe this... RSI charges $89,950 for this particular package

Use the Report a post feature... It works!
Loved this thread! First, on topic, it sucks what RSI became. When they were in Houston you'd be hard pressed to find any negative about them. I know someone going through hell with the current RSI and I feel bad for everything he's going through.
Being from Texas, more specifically Houston, don't let these couple of bad apples give our shops bad names. I can list off half a dozen shops I have used and more than I know of in TX that are top notch and awesome to deal with. I won't mention them here since they aren't sponsors, but they are definitely here. Since D3PE has already been mentioned as being NastyGTS's saving grace, they are an amazing shop with one of the most gifted tuners around and are about 2 miles from where I'm sitting right now.
As for the Viper-specific vendors, I've used Roe, PartsRack, Viper Specialty and The Viper Store (just for shirts), and all have been great. I didn't deal with anyone personally from Specialty or Viper Store (other than confirmation emails from Dan), but transactions were fine. Sean from Roe was great to deal with and JonB has overachieved every time I've done business with him.
Was the OP ever made whole?
Reading this thread was like deja vu for me with a builder several years ago with a truck I owned. I sent it 600 miles to FL for a build, only to listen to lie after lie; with the builder requesting more money. A supposed 8 week job turned into a 6 month ordeal.
I particularly understand your tone and temperament. As mad as you become during the situation, you feel compelled to come across as nice and understanding, all in an attempt to hope they do the right thing.
I have to agree with davew on this.. When I got my gen 4 I called jonb at least 3-4 times with questions on what parts would be best for me.. At least 2 hours on the phone total.. But a few months later, when i was ready I spent 5k in parts and couldn't be more happy with the results.. The Good outcome and being happy with my mods IMO was due to the time jonb spent talking and educating me.. So now that I got a new gen 5 where do you think my first stop will be?.. Jonb..
.. Business 101 treat every person like a client and you'll do just fine.. You never know what that person will need in the future or what that person will bring as far as other clients.. Because of my experience with Jon I've recommended many people to him and all end up happy! How do you think I found out about Jon.. From a friend that was so happy with the attention and information he got from Jon..
Point is in any business you can't blow someone off because they might not be a potential buyer at the time.. Never know what the future brings and the viper world is about the size of Pluto.. Very small..
Sorry about typos.. Hate iPhones lol
