I was also dealing on that car in Oct/Nov and they wouldn't budge from 78k, but ended up with a brand new GTS (msrp 134k) for 78k delivered on New Years Eve.
Congratulations on your purchase, it's hard to believe a person can buy a car of that quality/speed for under 80k.

Here are a few cell pics, all I have so far.
OK so now the important question is how does it compare to the 458???
Changing the oil depends on how it was driven. If you drive it enough at a time long enough to get the oil over 200 degrees, you'll boil out the moisture and crap that can cause problems sitting too long. I fail to see the difference between Pennzoil Ultra and Mobil One - they both meet the same SAE specs and the factory considers them good enough to warranty......
My ears are burning in here.
Congrats on the newest toy! And yes, the SRT Track Pack cars are the fastest version of Viper, in a straight line or at the drag strip. My TA is faster around the track, than my previous SRT-TP, however. Wish I had one of each.
Actually I wouldn't go that far, mopping the floorLol!
They are just different, the 458 is like a precision surgical tool while the Viper is more like a Sledge hammer, and yes the sound of a 458 is intoxicating, very much like a F1 car, or how the F1 cars used to be before V6 turbo of 2014... Don't get me started on that!
But this gen 5 has a great sound too, better than my 2002 GTS had I think.
I really like having a stick as well, can't get that in any Ferrari ever again, although the dual clutch trans in the 458 is just incredibly fast shifts with your foot to the floor, and the 9000 rpm redline is fun, never misses a shift either.
Where the Viper shines is the low end torque, the 458 lacks there compared to a gen 5 anyway.
I love both, but if funds where scarce I would rather have the Viper if I had to choose, I really love this gen 5, looks, sound, power, it's exclusive (far more 458's than Vipers in Silicon Valley), and for the price I paid it is a bargain, 458 msrp was 282K! Yikes!
