Exhaust Smell from Corsa Exhaust

After I installed a new corsa exhaust system with ceramic cats in my 98 rt/10, when I got on the accelerator hard I would get an awful smell from the exhaust in my cabin (top off). After three months, I finally got my car back on a lift, and there are four places in the where you use a torque clamp on when one pipe is inserted into the other. Well, all four were leaking. One was pretty bad. About an hour ago, I just had the four areas welded, NO MORE SMELL, except for a very, very faint odor when I get on the accelerator really hard. Glad that is gone. I guess clamp ons are not as good as they say they are.

After selling over 1000 Corsa systems, and NOT hearing this, Ever, I wonder if Corsa received and packaged a defective clamp? They use an expensive brand of 'better' band clamp... PLEASE call Corsa Tech Support and see whassup? 440.260.3135

Their ISO-9000 quality production plant manager would be horrified to hear this!

How are you going to remove the system now that everything is welded? Also, have you used a torque wrench when fastening the clamps? I remember that quite a bit of torque was to be applied according to the instructions...

I do not intend on removing the exhaust, and yes, a torque wrench was used. Also, when we found that it was leaking, we even tightened them more to no avail.
