    2004 Sound System

I recently purchased my viper. My sound system has a "cassette player" amazingly I never did throw my pink Floyd cassettes away. Anyway my owners manual shows a picture without a cassette player and says I have a CD player that holds 6 CDs. I cant get it to take more than one. Do any of you other 2004 owners have a similar sound system? It sounds great I'm not complaining just wondering why the manual is different from what I have.

2004's came standard with a six disc in dash cd player. If you have a cassette player you do not have a factory head unit. Can you post up a picture of what you have?

Sounds like an aftermarket unit. Take a picture of it and post it up.

I don't have a picture but after investigating I am sure the radio is not original. It does have satellite radio which is nice but once the subscription runs out I may want to replace it with the original. Is that hard to do? Is it pretty modular just unplug and plug the new one in or does it require hard wiring?

It will depend on if the guy that installed the radio cut the connector off or bought the adaptor. If he bought the adaptor, it should just plug right in.

The stock one should look like this.
