    Gen II Seat covers..

Anyone know of a company that makes replacement seat leather for the Gen II? I contacted Leatherseats.com and they only make 92-96 and 03-08 they said they didnt have a pattern for 97-02. They were nice enough to offer to charge me full price for a set, if I sen them my seats so they could make a template, thus destroying my original seat covers and leaving them with a template for future viper Gen II seats.. I didnt see that as a fair deal, if you dont make a product and want to make it and in the process you will destroy my seats, at least give me a deep discount..

So any other company that already makes them?

PartsRack has 3 sets of NICE Gen 2 Seat Covers, no cushions. They should be on our crappy website! www.viperpartsrack.com

I think we have ONE set of G2 Cognac, WITH cushions. NOT on the site, saved in the PartsRack Parts Museum

I'm on the way to Viper Tracks I, ButtonWillow, back on er, um MONDAY !

Thanks guys for the referrals and heads-up

Is there really any difference between '92-96 and '97-02 seats?

yes...Seat belt retainer for starters, and I believe the seating pattern is different.

Good to know. I spoke to the same company a year ago and they said they had patterns ready to go for my '02.

Leatherseats.com? They told me they do not have a 2nd gen pattern..Their website lists 92-96 then 03-08. Plus they get pretty pricey, and Im just looking to repair a cracked side bolster.

Same folks. They probably didn't know the difference when I first talked to them. They make nice stuff, but pricey. My bolsters are also cracked. I'd prefer to upgrade to suede/alcantara centers and colored double stitching, but not sure I can justify the cost over factory.

I really haven't liked a lot of the stuff I've seen of their's... too gaudy for my taste. It's also very expensive. Guess it couldn't hurt to see what he would do on a set of slightly customized seat covers.

I bought new covers from JonB for my GTS and had them professionally installed....kept the factory look and made the interior look brand new.

Anybody have any pictures of the JonB Gen 2 covers installed? Curious how OEM they look. My seats are a little worn out and I'm interested in doing this if they look like brand new seats.

Like Jon says, very OE. The company that installed mine restored the seat foam by steaming it all before installing the new covers. It really came out nice.

This explains it....it did wonders on my driver's seat. A really BIG guy owned it before I did and pretty much crushed the bolsters getting in and out of the car.

Has anyone ever had just a section of the leather covers repaired? if so did it match and how much did it wind up costing? Reason I ask is that my drivers seat has some minor cracking on just the side bolster, and was looking to bring it to an upholstery shop to see if they could match the leather or vinyl and how it would look. Im not sure I want to replace the entire seat cover for a small section of damage..

Or has anyone tried that liquid leather repair kit?

I had the driver's seat on my old '67 GT350 repaired and it came out looking like OEM. There were some tears in the vinyl on the side of the seat and a local auto upholstery shop took the seat cover off, removed that one piece, cut a new piece from matching vinyl, sewed it up and it came out looking great. I'm sure the vinyl on the Viper's seat could be replaced in the same manner.
