Repost from the FB page.
Drama around it.
Viper beat it first run.
Viper missed a shift 2nd run.
Hellcat owner posts vid of 2nd run only.
Yep, that video looks anything but dispositive.
Still won't buy 1.
Do I hear rev limiter too?
Yes, the Hellcat is fast, not as fast as a Viper though. It's freaking heavy as can be... With the auto trans, you're not gonna miss the shift. I compare it to driving a boat around, just faster... LOL The interior seems enormous after driving the GTS.
Use the Report a post feature... It works!
Put a few curves in the road and the Hellcat will be upside ..... down
The halo car should me much faster than a hello kitty. I like the one of 1 of 1 hype but not enough to increase sales.
Dodge did a great job w the kitty but left the viper behind in the process
2016 needs a power increase
Wow I can't believe they posted that vid. I was there and watched Mike miss the shift he was pulling back in each gear albeit a little but wouldn't expect it to pull one by much.
Ask them to post our heads up dig race were I ran 10.84@133.5 to the Hellcats 12.0@120 lol.
And if they want to play that game here's my time slip against the same Hellcat.

The build quality of the Hellcat is so poor that it could be a 9 sec car, and i still would not consider it. Have you seen the stitching on the bulky seats? and don't get me started on the rest of the interior! Not sure how they managed to build the Viper, raw experience but still with an awesome interior, paint, and much much more. Job well done!!
Saw the drama on fb. Clearly a silly video....
I'm a sports car kind of guy so the Hellcat don't do much for me. I won't buy one even if it is faster in straight line. Oh no curve!![]()
Gotta disagree there. The build quality, interior and exterior is excellent. I loved m7 07 SRT8, and if I had the dough and the room, I'd have a Hellcat in addition to the Viper.
And, they handle MUCH better than people think. No Viper, but for a car of its size, it's impressive.
Nothing wrong with the video and even in his comments he says they are both amateurs and says the Viper missed 3rd so hes not hiding anything. The Hellcat is fast and if you race one you better be on your game. Just remember. The Hellcat driver is just as proud of his car as we are of our Vipers. Plus its a Dodge. Good for them for making it and congrats to the owner. He says right in the Youtube description hes looking for more races with Vipers. Look him up and go have some fun.
Nicely put Rizzo!
Really? He had plenty of races with Vipers that day and this might have been the only race he won due to a miss shift. You then publish that video with that title? It has nothing to do with pride in your vehicle and has everything to do with misrepresenting what was really happening that day.

Oh ya. Forgot to mention. If he has any balls he will post the other videos as well. BUT if he posts the video of you smoking him at the drag strip you know how that will go and everybody will be whining that you aren't stock so it doesn't count etc etc.. I just like watching all the videos. Its good to see everybody win once in a while. I don't take it too serious. I just wish I was down there with you lucky bas%&R*s that can actually drive your cars while mine is stuck in hibernation for another 3 months. LOL
FYI, the guy that made the video didn't originally mention the "amateur" or "missed gear" statements in that video description, until a few of us that were at the event called him out on it. They clearly wanted to unveil a video to stir up controversy, and depict the Hellcat as unbeatable. They didn't show the other run these two cars made - where the orange TA walked the Hellcat.
Basically, scripted BS media. No real relevance here.
All about clicks, followers, and site views for some people.
So, if you miss a shift, just let off. Don't try to keep running, especially with a Hero cam on you, lol.
It's the internet, what do we expect. It's flattering that peeps orchestrate a vid to make it seem like their car is on par in any dimension with the Viper.
As for build quality, unless a lot has changed, I agree. At VOI12, I drove the challenger and charger SRTs several laps and I was surprised they were so plastic and low quality in feel and appearance. In pics they looked pretty nice, but in person, I wouldn't buy one based on my driving them at speed at VOI. Now the SRT Jeep, that was amaze-balls. If I were going to blow money on a utility vehicle to that degree ... well, I'd probably buy a Raptor, but a close second would be an SRT Jeep. If they Hellcat a Jeep, I can't believe there'd be a vehicle in it's category that would even be close to it. But talk about niche categories.
I guess we have to be grateful he didn't title the video "Hellcat annihilates Viper", like he did with the c7 z06.
With titles like these and the cherry-picked videos he loses enough credibility with me to even buy his "stock car" claim.
Thats pretty sad to clown for short term clicks at the expense of your long term credibility. Its the age of the internet, you will not cover up the truth for long.
Depending on the weather when I get back in a couple of weeks, I might take him up on his "call-out" for some roll races. Mine's still stock.
