That is a truly unique package. The black chrome looking wheels really set it off. I would like to see it in real life.

I saw the first one in real life. Back in May, when I picked up my car. It was going down the assembly line, and it looks more black than that photo suggests. Not a fan of the base model wheels they put on the package, would have looked better with Sidewinder2 Track Pack wheels.

I would like to see it in person, but the looks from that shot I really like it.

It's nice but why a Carbon edition doesn't come with the carbon aero pkg? and like Nine Ball pointed out, it would look way better with the Sidewinder2 wheels...

“Matte finishes are something our customers have asked for,” said Mark Trostle, Head of SRT Design.

Maybe since the head of design is able to deliver what the customers are supposedly asking for he can talk to the head of performance about tuning the car. I'm betting more customers want that ability over a paint job they can do themselves!

Interesting that it appears they are using the orange calipers from the TA , or it could just be the photo and they are going to be red?

Stated from Dodge they would be orange calipers. There is a writeup from SRT on facebook about the car.

I have given up on the tuning of the car, unless Dan can deliver with his newest idea, it won't get done. I honestly think the guy has more potential with these cars than the factory engineers at this point.

Ironically the TA calipers are anodized black?

This is funny. Jon B and I had a convo about this years ago. I ended up sending him pictures of my matte black GTS to forward to them. Nice to see something may have came from it.

If only I could spill the beans. If only Even the name would make you laugh

    Just not yet.

On topic, I think that SRT just shot themselves in the foot. People generally do not want special editions that are stripped down! It looks like it has no carbon interior or exterior package, carbon aero package, etc. That is NOT how this car should have been appointed.

[Edited- I guess the seats aren't cloth on a closer look]

Because it costs about $3.50 to offer a new paint color.

Hopefully we will see the tuning, but who knows.

I liked the idea but i'm a little disappointed there isnt more carbon fiber on the car. Exterior group, interior group. Carbon X brace. Perhaps they could of even found a way to do real carbon fiber stripes. The SRT stripes would look killer in carbon. Make it truly unique. Just my .02. Im not in any position to purchase one so i dont really have a dog in this fight but that's just what i was thinking when i heard carbon edition. However...BIG KUDOS to SRT for listening to the customers and giving a matte paint.
