Yea, that is the exact same stuff I used on my O2 wires. They still cooked and I had none of the wire exposed including where the wires enter the sensor. Friends used the same insulation with the same effect. It just gets so hot in there that even that insulation can't stop the effects over a long time. I would probably weld in a new bung further upstream near where the upstream O2 is located and then install the wide band there.

Wide band is coated sealed in its own heat shield and then dei heat tape wrapped and then in the dei fire silicone coated wrap which was $150 I should be all fine,

I should have the car on a dyno in a couple weeks to see where its at for rwhp!

Thanks RSI have been awesome and saved me a lot of headaches and money, never would of thought you guys being 1800 miles away be so easy and smooth.
im planning on keeping the 8psi for this summer and then I will ship you my block in fall and get it built so we can crank the psi all the way up and make even more reliable hp. looking forward to your genV build!!

One last mod i did add was a custom non-slip pulley from RSI performance, I was lucky enough to be one of the first ones to get it, 3.75 stock size paxton 8psi, here is a pic of the pulley it worked and gripped amazingly! zero slip and saw a solid 8.0 on the aem fail safe. what i like about this pulley is it won't eat belts like the carbonite coated pulleys.

    Dyno Day Finally!
I don't have a dyno in my city, so i loaded the car and drove to the nearest dyno, being in canada and finding a viper tuner that you trust well good luck ! So i had RSI Performance tuning it via internet, the only one i trusted for the job and it worked perfectly, car on the dyno and him tuning it threw the internet 1,800 miles away just awesome I'm grinning ear to ear I'm so happy with this build and in choosing to deal with RSI! all my parts threw them and all his tips how to install things what to do what not to do, its great to have a guy in the viper business with a amazing track record great for the viper community, here is the video

Will you be taking it to the drag strip? Now I'm really tempted to add that BOV. That sounds awesome!

  16. #66
Stealth78, Thanks, thats exactly what i did bought parts in fall and did a winter build worked out great.

98intrigue, Thanks i will be taking it to the drag strip, i have 18'' ccw wheels and mickey thompson slicks 345/35/18, the bov is just what imo the paxton should have come with, it reacts faster than a stock bov closing instantly harnessing the power quicker, also every shift at wot you hear it under the hood its just a rush rolling down the road at wot, i have a better short video on my phone i just uploaded for you to have a listen.

Excited to see you 1/4 mile results. I made similar power and went 10.6 @131 for comparison. The BOV sounds great! You said orange spring in the video, but saw you mention in an earlier post it was a pink spring. Can you please clarify? Also, do you know if Todd made the blockoff plate for the stock BOV location or is it readily available?

I cant wait to go to the 1/4 mile track, I first had a purple spring in it first video and bov was closed at idle which is bad, then I went pink spring fixed the problem, I ordered a spring kit from todd and I found the brown/orange spring worked best for me which you see in the last video, todd had the block off plate gasket and the top pc ready for me when I ordered it, told him how I wanted it he welded it got it ready and then sent it to me complete.

    Few more upgrades,
Gen 4 diff, since my gen 3 stock diff is a ticking time bomb,
Dodge part number for bolts is 6502581
Dodge part number for strap clamps 4428723
thats all you need to do the install,

The car with the stock diff would brake the right side loose then the left rear tire, would happen so fast you had to be waiting for it to happen at wot,
now with the gen 4 diff it doesn't blow out side ways, the gen 4 diff makes the rear braking loose more controllable, the difference is in the gen 4 viscolok vs the gen 3 hydralok,

Other upgrades E-brake relocation kit, mickey thompson 345/35/18's on 18x13 ccw for the strip.

Great build and it's cool to see you going TT! Why not keep the paxton if your goals were around 1000rwhp?
