Cool That pesky Viper TA tried some Italian food.

I was supposed to run another C7 Z06 (Z07), but the car was still getting paint protection film installed. So, the owner brought out one of his other toys instead, a 2015 Lamborghini Huracan LP 610-4. We both figured the Huracan would walk away from the Viper, since most magazines are seeing 10.5 @ 135 mph out of these cars. But, I put on my best driver's hat, and that throttle pedal never came off the floor mat - even during shifts. It was able to match the shifting of the dual-clutch automatics today, in both the Huracan and the Ferrari 458. Call me old school, I still like to shift myself

    Anyways, enjoy!

Happy to see it do so well against the Huracan that says a lot about the Gen V's top end.

Nice driving. So, how does our 6060 do powershifting? You beat on you car more than anyone, and it takes it. These cars are well built.

Oh, and if....(ready for tomatoes to be thrown at me) we DID have the OPTION (notice I said option, LOL!) of a dual clutch in the Viper, it would be game over for almost every supercar.

The TR6060 is flawless at power-shifting. Just takes practice, to get the muscle memory and timing down. I even practice at part-throttle, driving around, sometimes. Once you get good at doing it at part throttle and slower speeds, the muscle memory translates over to when you are near the rpm limiter. You can also practice with the engine off, sitting in your driveway.

Well that was impressive. I think I see a pattern emerging! You must be enjoying the "100% stock" aspect...perhaps for the first time, well, maybe ever?

Do you have a list of races that you're checking off before you go for the flames? At this rate it won't be long until owners of stock supercars in the Houston area won't race you at all!

Your vids get better & better. Well done.

Still like the racing exhaust on the baby bull better than the ups truck sound though.

You guys should see the Corvette guys cry, even though no C7Z06 was beaten in this video. They are truly in misery, because of this white TA.

    Bruce,

I would like to attempt another 10-second stock pass in this car, before modding it. Would do it on the Michelins, not drag radials this time. I'd also like to run a few more cars. Hellcat, Automatic C7Z06, Aventador. Sub-$500K, I don't see any cars other than a 911 GT-2 beating me, to be honest. Viper sure does like this 50F weather

You know you've gotten to them when they post this over there :

"The only thing you've done is to encourage a bunch of fanbois of other cars to find a friendly place here to dump on the Z06.
As someone who has been a member of this site for many years, I find your posts to be nothing but self-aggrandized rubbish.

I could care less about your Viper, because frankly it has nothing to do with this website, not to mention its ugly appearance taints this site.

Please take this crap and put it on a Viper forum, where the significantly smaller membership there will appreciate it."

Ugly appearance? Now I know he has sour grapes in the cool aid.

I think it is best summed up with one of the Colorado members who has one of the new Z06/Z07 verts with the A8 sitting in his garage here. One of, if not the first one sold. I asked him if he still has his GEN 2 RT/10 or did he upgrade to this new Vette. His answer was "Are you kidding me?". He has both but does not consider the new Vette as a replacement for his Viper, not even the old one.

Nobody has an A8 car sitting in their garage unless it's a mule car.

    Absolutely right.
When making up a bullshit story, you might want to do some research.

I don't know if they've started making Z06 verts yet either.

I'm glad to see lots of Viper fans and general respect for Vipers on CF. Good attitude generally. We're all fans of domestic power, and while Corvette isn't my personal thing they've certainly earned my respect as serious enthusiasts, and for some comments I read in that thread. Can't be easy for those guys right now.

I'm seeing about 1/3 of them being level-headed and open minded. But, the diehard C7 fanboys have now resorted to personal attacks, as well as trying to deflect from racing discussions by using the old favorites: "Your car is ugly" "Clownshoe" "More Corvettes are sold than Vipers" etc...

Funny how reality racing videos that cannot be disputed, always become subjective insult discussions. The intelligent people over there even laugh at these guys. At this point, it seems that many current C6Z and ZR1 owners are on the side of the Viper. They also have raised those questions about how well their current cars stack up with the C7Z, and the C7Z guys cannot handle those questions without emploding.

    Those guys are something else.

They obviously aren't real "car guys."

They are the epitome of every Corvette club I've ever been a part of. Condescending, uninformed, ignorant and self-righteous.

Between the lack luster performance of the C7Z and the disposition of the typical vette owner, GM has *almost* completely lost me.
