RSI Upper and Lower Radiator Hard Pipes [PICS]

I saw that RSI had posted the other day about its new Coolant Hard Pipe Kit. I hardly ever leave the driveway without at least and extra upper and lower radiator hose (and a serpentine belt). I have been on too many trips where folks were left on side of the road for failures of one of those. The bad part is when you are a 3 to 9 day trip, storage space is at a premium, and I felt these would give me good reason to leave my spare hoses at home.

RSI is about 15 minutes from my house so I reached out to Will Hamblin and he put the first set in stock into my hands 7 days before leaving for CoTA. We had a small fitment issue with the upper, but Will got it immediately corrected and back to me in 3 days so I still had these on for the CoTA event.

I tracked these at CoTA for 3 sessions with success and not a single issue. I look forward to leaving my spares at home from now on. I think most of us have seen videos of the upper sucking flat under heavy RPMs, so this should remedy that as well.

A word to the wise if you buy these, make sure you turn the lower radiator hose up towards and almost touching the boot on the steering ram, otherwise when the motor torques over, you might very likely have the hard pipe torquing against the lower passenger A-arm.

And these are purty. However these are not cheap. But peace of mind is worth something as well. Sorry, was not crawling under the car to get bottom pics.

Yep. Had killer glass make a custom one for me. I sent them a stock upper radiator hose and they make it to length and then you cut your stocker and assemble. The hose ends are elastomeric heat activated and a major pain to install but the end product looks great and much nicer than worm clamps. They actually tighten as they heat up. I was a little concerned with them initially but they have held up great. The glass they use is virtually indestructable. They actually run over one on pavement with a 3/4 ton truck without shattering it and in another video use it as a hammer to drive a nail. Stuff is legit. They charged me $200 I think. If you order one, make sure to ask them not to put on the gaudy logo.

And, from a confidential source, the "high-lighted" post installation spy photo can be seen at:

And that one will not fit on a stock Gen III/IV car as it will not clear the stock or Mopar ECU setup.

ya doesn't look like it will clear the gen 4, fits stock gen 3 no problem, he probably has a gen 4 version not sure

Yeah, it will clear with a little help of a dremmel and J B weld.
We just sawed off the edge of the ECU connector and filled it in with JB quick.

Glad that worked out for you, but I will never be doing that, and I will not run around without the cover on the ECU either. But then again, I am not afraid of water touching my car.

    Not sure what you mean?
Nitrous is forward, Fuel is toward TBs, going to common nozzles.
The guy that installed both systems formed RSI in Houston, and ran Hennessy shop twice.
I assume he knows what he's doing.
    Your thoughts, please?
If it's not done right I'll get him to fix it.
    Here is another photo.

Not sure the above statement in bold constitutes reality. Both those shops have done some. lets call it fancy, work on a lot of peoples cars.

VERY nice setup. I'll ask again, any power numbers? That thing, with a direct port plus the nozzles in the intake pipes, should be capable of 500hp or more of if you wanted to spray that much. I know some folks have had problems with the Gen 4 and N2O in the past so I'm interested in hearing from those running it.

Nozzles like the ones shown will be marked "fuel" and "nitrous" (or maybe N2O)...as long as it is pointed into the throttle body instead of away from it, they're pretty idiot proof.

He's got a two stage setup - the first stage is just a standard wet nozzle setup. Those are usually good up to about a 200-250HP shot...beyond that is a bit much to be spraying through the throttle bodies. The second stage is a direct port using a common rail in the middle that has nitrous and fuel flowing through it (they are separated though).

I'd be curious to know how they are pulling timing though...I remember reading about this when you did it, and if I'm not mistaken, it was before HPTuners had hit the streets.

Right. - And the nitrous lines have red tubing nuts, and the fuel lines have black.
Yes, before HPTuners, but not for long. Stay tuned (pun intended).

What I really wonder is if all the missing parts that didn't make it to customers doorsteps ever or will ever get there. Maybe the company can look for those first and ill bet you a dollar their in the same place the rads are.
