Is there a way of telling if the MSRP shown in an ad, is the new MSRP or the original one.

Sure, just compare it to the announced revised MSRP's from Dodge. That's what I have been doing, and it seems virtually no dealer in my neck of the woods is advertising the updated MSRP. The one dealer that has the car I want was still showing me the old window sticker. They were trying to make it sound like THEY had an incentive of 15k off MSRP due to it being a 2014. I had to correct the salesman and tell him there was zero incentive to buy as the 15k off is just the new MSRP. So they will have to do better than that to get me in the car.

Just look at the base price on the sticker. On a revised sticker for a GTS the base price is $107,385. If it hasn't been revised it's + $15,000. Does not apply to 2015 GTS MSRP base price. As far as I know the base price on a 2015 GTS is just over $112K but it now includes Laguna Interior Standard. Previously a $7,500 option.
For a SRT the revised base MSRP is $84,995. Again, if it hasn't been revised it's + $15,000.
Revised base price is for 2014 only. 2013 carry dealer cash at $15,000.
The average dealer is the weakest link. Manufacturer is a close second. Had to be the most botched launch in history. Or at least top five biggest.
The days of stealerships screwing consumers over have been substantially lessened and mitigated with the Internet. There's still a sucker born every minute though.
Locally people buy at invoice and the dealer makes something on hold back. It's different when you're paying msrp to have a new toy first like we did. I placed my order over two years ago already. Consumers are smartening up overall. The really smart way to do it is as second owner imo.
The dealer where I bought my Jeep from has 2 2013 models left over, base at 76k and GTS at 95k. Relatively good deal and there's probably more room for negotiation.
Need to do homework on a leftover sitting for two years. Fluids break down, batteries can die, tires can get flat spots and are only good for 60 months regardless of wear per DOT standards.
Do we know invoice numbers on the 2015's yet?
thx
2014:
Dodge Viper SRT® $84,885
Dodge Viper SRT with Grand Touring package $92,385
Dodge Viper SRT with the TA package $100,885
Dodge Viper SRT GTS $107,385
2015:
Dodge Viper SRT® $84,885
Dodge Viper SRT with Grand Touring package $94,995 ($2600 difference)
Dodge Viper SRT with the TA package $101,995 ($1100 difference)
Dodge Viper SRT GTS $112,090 ($4700 difference)
Perfect. Don't suppose you have the Canadian numbers handy too? Why does Dodge make this info so hard to find?
Edit- Found this in another thread from September. Don't know if it is 100% accurate or not?
2015 model pricing in Canadian dollars.
SRT $84,995
GT $94,995
T/A 2.0 $101,995
GTS $109,995
It isn't the numbers changed that was a recent release (higher #'s)

A GT is the main price I am trying to calculate. I want to go in armed with prior knowledge of pricing before I fight with a dealer. I am looking at a GT, in GTS Blue, with HK premium audio, Advanced Aero, and SRT hood, and Sidewinders with high performance rubber.
I used a 2014 canadian window sticker to get most of my options pricing, and see what else is on the charge list. It didn't have destination for some reason? But I got -Green Levy $2000 -A/C excise tax $100 , and that is it really.
All in price with GST included comes out to 106,203$ using your MSRP. And then another 2000$ for destination it sounds like you're saying.
For the $1700 for the wheels, IMO order with whatever comes stock and spend $2300 from Parts Rack for the set of what you really wanted. $600 more and you get an extra set of rims.
I looked it up and I see you're right. So looks like I am royally effed on ordering a new car. Thanks Dodge! Way to cancel the best color in your line up for some ugly Navy blue.
I'm still going to try and use the new car price to wheel a better deal on the left over 2014 I found though.
The wheels I want are going to cost me 8k or so. I figure I might as well shell out for the Sidwinders to keep as track wheels.

No, GTSR blue is a very dark blue....separate color entirely. Google it to see.
