Congrats on the car man!
Was that original window sticker from 2013? Just trying to find out if it was originally priced at $149k and after the $15k reprice brought it to $134k. Or is this car in 2015 going to be a $119k car? Either way it's a great price and I paid almost the same as mine was a little higher msrp.
I was at the local Dodge dealer yesterday shopping for a 4x4 and he had a black Hellcat Challenger and another one in Sublime and he wanted $83k for them with the $20k AMV.
I think that if you are questioning it, then it was not a good deal for you. Too bad, when it is such a great car. So many people obsess over getting the best deal that they loose sight of the fun of playing with the toy. Getting the best deal is the number 1 American obsession, though.
Does anyone know how to tell an adjusted MSRP from original?
It was by no means a question to gloat or make anyone feel bad. It is really hard to say where a car like this stands in terms of pricing. I do not usually hang on to my cars very long and usually buy every year or every other.
KBB obviously values this car higher than what I paid but in a real world market it means nothing, and it was also asked in comparison of the 14' and 15' model years.
ViperDriver 5150, I sent you a PM. Thanks!
An absolutely loaded 2013 GTS with 500 miles on the odometer is valued around 92k on KBB (which is almost always higher than trade-in). Someone would have to be insane to spend over that on a leftover new 2013. By the time you have passed the break-in period, the car will be worth even less than that.
Any dealer that is pricing a 100% optioned 2013 GTS above 90k should be shown the numbers. If you have a 200-500 mile journey home, just ask them how much black book is on a 2013 with the number of miles you are going to have to put on the car.
Not many complete idiots are going to show up and think anywhere near MSRP is a fair price, so either they are the real fools, or they simply don't want to sell them.
