Jesus that's a lot of cars still on dealer lots.
Seems like Dodge needs to give dealers more incentives to move the cars. Its amazing how many new 2013's are still available. 2015's should be hitting dealer showrooms soon. Today I saw the first 2015 listed on ebay. Car is in G Status "Trim" portion of assembly.

Surprised they are even having a 2015 model year.
I actually got a targeted flier in the mail a couple weeks ago from a dealership in Indy...it started with an "our records indicate you might own a Viper, so you can use your loyalty voucher here" type of deal, and they were trying to get rid of a couple of 2013 GTS models (at least I think both were a GTS). Regardless, I found it odd to get that in the mail...the deal didn't look horrible (they were taking about $35-40k off with voucher), but their records were way off the mark as to whether or not I had a loyalty voucher. Come to think of it, I'm not even sure how they got my name or address...the name part probably wasn't hard to come by since I had to visit a dealer in Indy to do the throttle relearn to get HPTuners up and running, but I never gave them my address. Weird...wonder if they got any takers?
Steve, I got one as well...and, I have never had any dealings with that particular dealership. I assume that they got the info from Chrysler...though, some may frown on said flow of info.
When you consider the revised MSRP is $15K lower and the voucher is worth another $15K your at $30K off the original 2013 MSRP. Now consider the car is 2 years old (even though it's never been titled) and you're only getting an additional $5k - $10K off MSRP. Don't seem like a good deal to me especially since the cars aren't selling. Consider even further that a 2015 GTS comes standard with Laguna and upgraded sound it don't sound like any deal. For only $5k - $10K off MSRP the revised MSRP I would consider purchasing a 2013. You can find a much better deal then that on a 2014.

Well, here's what I find odd about whatever database they pulled that from...I bought the car from a Chevy dealership in Tulsa, OK. The only Viper-related thing I've ever given my name/address to was the VCA when I was a member over there...I wonder if that's how they got it?
I got the same flier. Lol
Not sure how they got my name. Figured it may have been through cars.com as i had out my i fo into their site when inwas inquiring about a couple cars.
Dealers (or their marketing companies) can buy registration data from IHS (formerly RL Polk) to target customers. So they buy a list of Viper owners then solicit them. Also, dealers or OEM's can buy a list to target registered owners of competing brands/models.
There are also other, uh car clubs, that could sell your data...
F.Y.I. cars.com shows 297 new cars available. 218 are 2014's. 79 are 2013's. This same site reported over 600 cars available, pre price reduction and pre voucher. So over 50% of inventory sold in about 3 months. Vipers are selling. With Nineball's Z06 kill a few more might find a home.
0% for 72 months would swing a lot of interest. Maybe open up some further loyalty discounts for current registered Viper owners, of all years? Maybe $5-10K vouchers for them?
GM used to offer competitor discounts, a couple grand off if you also owned/titled another vehicle from another US brand.
I was at Galeana Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep in Fort Myers, FL last Wednesday evening when they held a no-reserve auction on a brand new 2013 Viper GTS (new sticker price after $15,000 reduction was $129,000+). It was black with black wheels and red Sabelt leather interior and Track Pak. It brought $72,500. All the proceeds went to the Golisano Chidren's Hospital. Someone got a heck of a buy. The winning bidder had to pay sales tax and register/title the car...even dealers. Good thing I didn't register to bid or my juices flowing may have gotten the better of me!!!
Chrysler had a blockbuster year. Smart dealers would be looking to unload these cars at rock bottom prices to eat the loss in 2014 to help offset decent cash thats been rolling in.
When people are getting trade in offers of $68k for a MSRP'd $134k 2013 GTS, dealers can't expect people to buy them for $100k+ still.
(And only talking about 2013's)

I got the same offer from the dealership here in Indy. I've never purchased a Viper new so I'm not sure where they got my information from unless they somehow obtained it from service records from the other dealership in town that I frequent. I don't have a voucher, though they implied I could get that extra 15k, but you know how that goes...
Seems most pigs have short memories.
