My first change to the car

Well now that I've had the car for oh, about 3 weeks...time to start making it my own. As the motor, trans, interior are very much done, I started with some cosmetics.
The CCW wheels were in pretty rough shape around the edges. Now I know I could get them re-polished and look new but, I'm not a shiny wheel guy so...
Plasti Dip to the rescue! Anthracite metallic with multiple coats of gloss. The pics do not do it justice as to the final almost wet shine. I'm shocked it was Dip! Sorry about the night shots on the car but it gets dark when I get home and just HAD to post some pics.

I'm planning on tinting the windows come spring so will help pull the dark from the wheels up to the rest of the car.

Not sure on the wheels, would like to see some pics in the Daylight My CCWs have a black centre and polished rim, I think I would have kept the polished rim? That single din flip up unit looks great, good price too, I have a similar unit in my Gen II and I love it I ended up using the stock amp in the rear of the car with some din adapters, When you pull the stock radio it gives you the coloured pin outs on the rear of the unit

Thinking about the wheels, they might work if you were to add a red pin stripe to the rim of the wheel to break up the whole colour? Something like this?

On the Radio unit, I added one of these http://www.amazon.co.uk/JVC-KV-CM1K-.../dp/B0019H2ECK I mounted it using a double sided 3M sticky pad just above the rear exhaust tips The wire got hidden on my car as I have an Autoform Rear Diffuser No holes drilled through the bodywork

Thanks for the camera link! I was thinking of one but wasn't sure where to hide it and refuse to drill holes for it.
As for the rims. I will try and get some daylight shots today as took day off.
Appreciate the suggestions.

I do like the idea of the red time attack red stripe on the wheel. I'm not steady enough to stripe that by hand so may give it a try with some red vinyl pinstripe.

I can't quite tell, but it looks like your tires (maybe just the fronts?) are a bit older. If the tires are older or mismatched and you anticipate any spirited driving, you may want to consider new shoes as your next upgrade. They cost a pretty penny and don't always get attention if the car has low miles, but they keep you on the road and out of the ditch. Check out partsrack for the full rant on tires if you haven't already, it changed my opinion.

Good eye!!...they are mis-matched and the fronts are 18's while the back are 17's. The fronts are Pilot Sports and the rears are Pilot Sport 2s. JackB (the previous owner/builder) of the car set it up this way to help with some over steer. All are in great shape and I want to get to know the car a bit better before hitting the track. If it seems an issue then I may change them up.
