At NVE1 they checked tire dates. As long as you had a 2008 or newer date code you were good to go. Anything older they wanted to keep you under a certain speed. I would assume at NVE2 in 2016 they would want to see a 2010 date code at minimum....but im just guessing. Im sure Chrysler proving grounds and NOLA might have different requirements.

Here is a question. For everyday driving on the street (not the track) Is there a benefit to using the corsas over the p zeros? Im still in a debate with what tires to get in my application. I have 2008 PS2's and the rears wear wise need to be replaced. But I have 19's all around 285f and 345r....Car puts down more power than stock 667/704.I plan on driving my car about 8000 miles this year, including tail of the dragon & VIR. I don't care if the Corsas don't last as long just want to be safer grip wise. But if street driving doesn't make a difference then I might as well go with the p zero. Looks like I can buy a 295/30/19 for the fronts in either corsa or p zero.....but are those front 19's a matching set to the 355/30/19 rears? Jon B any advice?

    Hey Martin,
go with the Corsa's, I have them and love them. Great all around tire. Track, auto-x, and street. Especially with your beast!

Thanks Tim! Sign up for VIR with Frank and I will ya already!

Problem with my current set up is that I have after market wheels on my car and they are 19's all around. as opposed to 18 in front and 19in rear......Kinda in a dilemma with what to do. Almost at the point of buying a set of side winder 2's just so I can get a good price on tires. But I have nice HRE wheels that cost me an arm and a leg, but I cant figure out what tires I should go with on these wheels. I plan on doing a lot of driving this year with the club, and doing VIR this year and NOLA next year @ NVE2...so Im going to need a good set of tires...Safety is #1 for me and with this new motor set up I just want the best overall / grippy tire set up....

Just had a package delivered here at work! Well, four to be exact!

Thanks to the VOA for getting such a great deal for us!!

And, thanks to Charlotte from Pirelli, for being a joy to deal with and helpful in the transaction. 6 days after the phone call and the tires are waiting to be mounted.

Again, thanks VOA, best car club on the planet!!!!!!!

IIRC there was a notice posted somewhere (here or email) that it will be extended to at least the NVE.

    Correct.

Thank you very much to Maurice for setting this up and Pirelli for extending it. I will be getting a set before NVE because I plan on tracking. My PSS are 2012, but out here it's so dry, I don't like to push a tire past 4 years.

I haven't seen this mentioned anywhere. I noticed that the P-Zero tread design is asymmetrical. Look for the word "inside" on the tire at the top of the sidewall so you know which way to mount it.

For anyone still thinking about this, the deal appears to be valid through the end of 2016 on the P Zero tires.

    Dear Pirelli,

For Christmas it would be really awesome you would start making Gen II tire sizes.

    Thx.

Since the Pirelli tire deal still seems to be on for the regular P-Zeros until the end of the year, I have a question: do you have to go with the 295/30/18 fronts, or can you order a different size like the 285/35/18?

I bought the deal 2/3 weeks ago and mine came with the 285 fronts.
