Where can I get a carbon console?

I did some research and it looks like there was someone who was working on making carbon fiber parts for the gen II. There was a post taking orders for an all carbon fiber console. I think he even had a complete dash. Does anyone know where I could find a carbon console and bezel. I called a carbon fiber place here to see how much laminating would be and I was not really pleased with lack of interest and pricing. Any info is appreciated.

    Thanks!

I had my dash hydro dipped with a carbon effect pattern, to do this they take your existing dash, sand the crinkle texture flat smooth then dip the part in a large tank to apply the pattern. then the dash is lacquered in either a gloss satin or matte finish.

Another option could be to wrap the dash, but i have no experience of using that product. They should be able to carbon dip the centre console too.

PartsRack has a true CF dash in stoc, as well as a dipped-dash.

But not all G2 dashes fit all G2s. The Year Matters

Wow, ask and Ye shall receive. I guess I should have known Jon would have it.

Jon, is it a "swap out part"? Where you send the new one and the customer sends the old one? Same on Gen 3/4s?

Thanks, their not the greatest photos as they were taken on an Ipod touch with no flash. Looks much better in daylight.

If you do pull the dash out of the car make sure you disconnect the battery as you have to undo the Airbag control module and you dont want that going off!

Also tape up the window side pillars as they will get scratched very easily

I also got the door handle inserts dipped to match the flow of the dash and also the Air Bag cover.

Messages sent. The dipping looks great but I'm trying to get the all carbon fiber version. To anyone that has it, did it help with the console cracking problem or should I buy/make a support? I think I saw Jon had a support.

Wow Fatboy, I really like the CF printed exterior cowl. That holds up to the elements alright?

It really lifts the car on the outside. Only small thing I am keeping my on is rubbing where the rear rubber strip on the back of the hood touches the window cowl. All it has done since I had it on the car is slightly rubbed the gloss Lacquer, it has not worn down to the Carbon pattern and has not worn through the gloss lacquer, but you can see (with the hood open) a tiny thin line where the lacquer has been slightly rubbed. This would also happen even if you had real carbon with a gloss lacquer finish.

The parts have been on the car now for about 18 months and I could not be happier One of my friends had his dash carbon dipped and finished in the Gloss lacquer, but I thought it added too much reflection from the windshield. Seeing as my car is a 2000 model with the silver satin dial rings I got the interior parts finished in satin to match. There are so many different carbon patterns out there I had a hard time choosing what to go for!

Look at these finishes to get an Idea.
