    Wheel Well Shield Question

What's the purpose of the flappy part?

The one on the driver side is missing the flap.

Is it OK to replace with a solid piece or should I cut it to make a flap?

There's a hard plastic "blade" mounted on the hood vertically behind the front wheels. If memory serves, it's about 10" tall and 3" wide. This part slides through the opening in that rubber flap when the hood is closed. It helps keeps rain, debris, etc from getting past the fender liner.

You need it to be "flappy"....
