100 up to 513, sigh. #firstworldproblems
Now I'm number 309. That plain stinks. My wife signed up after me as a regular member and she got 155. Arghhhhh!!!! Not a great kick off.
I got 339 and registered at 12:07.
339 is just a number, proud to be a charter member of the VOA!
When all this is settled, we'll get a list of all of us "100's". And we'll be an elite group; first responders to the call, just like the 300 only with worse abs and much less gore.

One... of the 100's
From #100 here to #323....hey it's just a number!!
In the 16 years I was a member of the VCA not once did I hear anyone mention their membership number, nor was asked mine!!
Just happy to be part of a new club.
Of all the years I was with them and still a member along with being a member here too, I dont recall a computer glitch like this one either. Agree its just a number but the point is there was a very big promotion made about signing up early to get a low or lower number plus buys for numbers below 100. Many that desired to get a low number and sat by their computer to register right away did not get the results they wanted.
We are trying to figure out a solution to an unforeseen (and wasn't able to be tested) event. We're likely speaking on it tonight.
We understand the complaints, and appreciate the fact that this MEANS something to everyone. It means something to us too - and while we know that there's no way to make everyone happy (I have tried that and usually it just makes no one happy and me sick to my stomach), we're going to try to come up with some "out of the box" solutions that are the least problematic, but still recognize the passion and commitment you 100's had to make this thing called the VOA pretty remarkable.
Trying....
Here's what I don't understand.
The information clearly states that anyone wanting #85 - 100 will pay $500.
The error is in the line that states the fee for preferred numbers being from #100 and so on.
so....after reading the first line, I would assume that the second one was a typo and should have read "#101 - 1000"
Therefore, I would never expect to get #100 in the first place unless I pay $500 for it.
Why the fuss and headaches? Is it just about bragging rights? Does it really matter that much? If you meet someone at an event, I don't think they're going to ask "so, what is your membership number?"
Suggestions:
I think we should remove #100 altogether. If we ever have a car raffle, we can make it a second prize.
If nobody gets it, then the argument ends.
The complaint will now be "but why should I get #600 when I was one of the 200 first people to register?"
Possible Solution
Since some members are not hung up on what number they got, then maybe the VOA can offer an incentive to everyone willing to give up their numbers between 101-200.
Example: If anyone wants to give up their number 145, they will receive a $50 VOA voucher to be used towards VOA merchandise or maybe get free membership next year? (something like that)
Just an idea.![]()
The solution to the problem that we (really?) don't have is already in motion...
WE ARE THE 100's
Huge bragging rights, all tied back to the moment the club was born. Perfect.

It just didnt happen to the #"100" people. Some of us #150 people got caught up too. My new number: #1,000,000.

Everyone is now eleventy billion.
Maybe this glitch has been a good thing for all the 100's. The VOA history and it's charter members will know about the 100's forever. IMO it's better than one lone member with the #100. I would like to see all the 100's recognized. They were there in the beginning and should have a special part in the Clubs history.

I like these possible solutions for the people that feel so passionately about these numbers. Some of you are having fun with it and others just can't let it go. Seems like a few worked it out and got double digit numbers, there was a couple references in this thread on who to talk to so look them up. Many less fortunate people would like 5 minutes in your shoes to deal with these type of "problems", please check yourself and move on to something really worth bitchin' about.
How about a Star(or something to that effect) next to their name recognizing the 100 Glitch members. Then a number makes no difference but you will know you were some of the first to join.
