OK-one more comment seeing I've been quiet of late! One of the MANY things I loved with my 2010 verts were the lines with the roof off!! The slight hump in the folded down convertible top coupled with the roll bars gave ME a COMPLETED design feel!! Look at the vette a couple posts ago-the seats don't have that "tucked in" effect!! They just jut up-that FAUX aerodynamic flow of the roll bar / humped convertible cover is to this day one of the nicest design elements I've ever seen in a convertible!!!!!!!

Ok, decided to do a PS with one of the Tomball FB page pics. Werent the greatest pics to work with, but did what I could with one of them. I looked for a good pic to use for the roll hoops and just couldnt locate one in the time frame I had to do this. So I decided to use a Lemke hardtop and go from there. Added Aero kit, Vossen wheels, Lemke hardtop, blacked-out reflectors and lowered it.

I have zero talent with photoshop...maybe Austin can doctor something like this up....luckily I seem to have the ability to make what I see in my head...
I think a roll bar with Padded cover... specifically designed to work with one of our two piece soft top covers re-designed with some type of bump or detail that mimics the lines of the Gen V center dip and also would pay homage to the RT/10 look... (that is able to fit in the trunk) would make the back of the car feel a little shorter...just my thoughts

I'm with you. This is what they should have done in the first place - no offense to coupe guys but the top has got to come down to be a real sports car - IMHO.

I like your idea much better Steve, but even still that flip up at the edge of the trunk lid just does not look right to me. I have always been a huge fan of the Gen I car from the B pillar back. That GTS flip up just does not fit on the Gen V's body lines.

I am sure the guys at Prefix had a design direction they where headed with this. and who knows?...this may be the direction SRT was going with it?
I personally would do the trunk lid a bit differently...I have a pretty good idea of what I would do...(more of the lines and heritage of the GenV design...not the GenIII with a coupe back end... maybe I'll get a shot at it...integrated aero would be interesting.
That all being said...they did a really nice job on this car... I saw the first one in Detroit...fit and finish are great.

Remember 1999..a long time ago...I didn't just do this....but I still like alot of things about it.
I did however make the hardtop and added the stripes and worked with Tony on the new interior a few years ago for it's current owner...

Damn! I remember that car! Any more pics in it's current configuration? You do awesome work Steve. Did you turn a coupe into a Comp Coupe for a gentleman in Canada?

Love the color! Let's get prefix to do a Targa top!!! That's where it's at.

It needs aero and it needs an autoform in it. The track look of the autoform gives the car a subtle yet distinct personality change. Putting the autoform in my gen4 just made it a bit more masculine looking. IMO the medusa looks a bit soft, autoform & aero = smoking hotness.
