Gift For Veteran Viper Owners: Viper Challenge Coin

If you are a vet, you know what a "Challenge Coin" is, and why they exist.

10-12 years ago, the USAF at Luke AFB struck some bronze challenge coins to commemorate the "Viper vs. Viper" F-16 drag races. I am proud to say that I played a role in that. If you participated, you received a coin. A Viper SRT VCC is struck on one side; F-16 USAF Thunderbirds struck on the other. USAF-MWR had some surplus coins, and I made a donation to the Luke MWR Fund to secure them, and respect them.

In recognition of your Service, Veterans Day, and your Viper ownership, I'd be honored to provide USA Veterans/Viper owners with a coin, this month of Nov 2014, to all USA Vets who have not already gotten one from me. No charge of course, but you have to make it simple for me to mail it out, please:

Email your name and postal mailing address to me at: JonB@PartsRackcom. Absolutely NO PMs.
Please Email it in postal address format, so I can PRINT it onto an adhesive label. Like this:

    Chuck Tator
    123 Veterans Lane
    SOMEWHERE, NY, 12345

Write carefully, or with ALL CAPS, because what you write WILL become your exact mailing label.

Please include Viper info: Year-Model-Color. Id like to know your Branch etc if you care to share. I do. I only wish I could observe challenge coin protocol and hand it over in person. Freedom is NOT Free.

    Thank You For Your Service.

    JonB

    Nobody "needs" One !!

But if you keep it in your console you can back up your speed-claims of "SRT-VIPERS, We Drag Race JETS"....You'll have Forged USAF PROOF if you get challenged!

I still have some remaining, no-charge to Vets.... just email me!

Hey Jon, with their permission of course, would you share some of the anecdotes you are receiving from these fine people?

Thanks to all who serve. The world would be a drastically different place without your courage and honor. Thanks you for all you do.

I don't remember that, but the low level flying and touch and go's off of the carrier were awsome!

Like I said, I ended up being the 'winner' of my own give-away, getting all these pics and anecdotes. I even got a black-n-White '50s pic of B24s at Maxwell, my 2nd duty station back in 1969. I wish these Vets would share.

I got one story about the movie 'Charlie Wilson's War,' and a vet here who served WITH CW!

Turns out I 'met' vets who were at bases I was: Gunter, Maxwell, Craig, Elmendorf, and even Ft. Benning! I now just need USCG Vet.... I know I have some, one guy was at Sitka.

And how about that great USS Enterprise "Head On" shot that Rook shared ?! WOW!

There are a LOT of vets lurking here, and I have more Viper v. Viper Challenge coins, so keep requesting. "Freedom is Not Free" but the Viper vs Viper coins are!
