Question Installing Raptor dual mode shift light.....VSS question.

So I have everything wired up but the vehicle speed sensor (VSS). Looking at the wiring diagram it should be pin #27 on connector C2 at the Powertrain Control Module - PCM (this is the computer under the air cleaner assembly on the drivers side near the radiator correct?). This should be a White wire with an Orange stripe. There is not a White wire in this connector.

    Anyone done this before?

    thanks,
    Bill

Sounds like a simple 2-step - wired so that when you have the clutch pushed in, the car behaves one way (usually a preset RPM limiter that you can change) and with the clutch pedal out, it behaves another way (usually standard operation). Set up properly, it would let you keep the gas pedal matted when shifting and instead of hitting the normal 6,000+ RPM rev limiter when you normally do that, the car would revert to a lower RPM rev limiter since the two step would kick in at that point (since the clutch pedal is in). Make sense?

JVM728 i bought the N2MB Racing WOTBOX which has a 2step and flat food shifting

PaulP, basiclly in simple terms to what Steve M said is i can keep my foot on the gas all the way down and when i hit the clutch it will keep it at 6000rpm with the throttle open 100% keeping full boost going into next gear.

Ahhh, we were close! Same pin, but different color. Glad you got it figured out.

A word of advice.... Find another shift light to use. I had problems with two different units they sold and thier customer service is beyond terrible.

FYI, All hooked up and works great. I found the customer service prompt but they obviously didn't know that they had the wrong pin out diagram....they do now.

Demonstration of the "launch mode" I had the target set at 2000 rpm's with a tolerance zone of +/- 200 rpm's
so no light until I get to 1800 rpm's and then the light stays on until 2200 rpm's. when I rev'ed over that the light flashes to let you know you are to high. Once you release the clutch and start moving it switches over to the shift point setting.

Ok so I got the Raptor Light and was just wondering if it was the same set-up on a Gen 4? I'm looking to set this up this weekend. Also did you use any pre-existing holes to run the wires thru to the PCM or did you create a new one? Help is greatly appreciated.
