    Nov 15 Tucson Cruise Details

Be on the lookout in your email for the flyer for the Old Tucson cruise. It will have all the information for the day.

Any questions you may have, please direct them to me. I am looking forward to a good turnout. I love sharing my town with the club. There are some special surprises planned too, so I really hope to see you there.

He said he would be coming while on the Sedona trip. I will be heartbroken if he isn't here for it. Just make sure you guys don't shift higher than 3rd so he can keep up. He will give the hamsters an energy drink so they can hopefully keep up with you guys. You should see those little guys runnin their little hearts out getting that thing up to 65.

P.S. How come he gets made fun of for having a miata? He has a Gen 2 RT. It's a sapphire blue RT/10. Which makes it a rare one at that. I have no idea how this joke started but I am glad to beat it to death.

It started way back on a cruise when you took some pictures and the blue RT/10 looked like a little Miata in the shadows of trees that were along the road. All you could see was the rounded hood and not the cross hair grill area. So I looked like a little miata! Been pulling his chain ever since.

Yea, it was you two that started the whole miata thing!

Pretty sure it was this picture....which is by far my favorite picture of the car.

That is a great picture. I have the photo taken right before it of Eddie's Gen II and my Gen III (we were ahead of you by a few minutes on account of driving much faster due to superior skill and much bigger balls.) I got in touch with the photographer and offered to pay for a high res version and he said that he wasn't thrilled with the photo so he didnt want to distribute it.

I agree it is a great photo of your car. Except for the ugly bastard driving.

    This picture?

I don't wanna hear it, you had a Camry holding you back....none of us were driving very fast thru that section of road. I was never more than a couple hundred feet behind you.

These photos. Actually, we were held up by a truck and Eddie had to stare at an Obama bumper sticker for about 10 minutes. He hated that.

    Good call.

As far as details, did you read the handout that Barry sent out? All details contained therein. Times, websites, what to expect.

Everyone please RSVP to me so I can plan for the right amount of people. I have some already but want to make sure everyone is accounted for.

Just a hads up to everyone, maybe bring a jacket tomorrow in case it gets a little chilly near the end of the day. Better to have it and not need it.

Just want to take a minute and thank everyone who came on the event. It was great to have such a big turnout. I hope you had fun goofing around at Old Tucson and enjoyed the drive through Gates Pass. We had a beautiful day here in Tucson for it.

    Vprbite,
We all need to THANK YOU!! You did a great job of organizing a fun day at Historic Old Tucson. Everything was well planned and came off without a hitch. What a great place to visit and see all the western movie picture history. Really interesting and I think everyone had a great time. The stunt men exhibition was really interesting and of course our own "Cowboy Goot" was very entertaining. By the way the food was excellent at the Westward Look resort. Definitely could eat there again. Thanks again for organizing this event. Can't wait to see what you come up with next year!
PS We need to get Leadfoot a compass for his Miata since he doesn't know East from West or left from right. Geeze, I don't remember anyone on past cruises who turned the wrong way TWICE!

Wow...you went right for the jugular on that one.

I will admit it is confusing because the address says WEST INA RD but is just EAST of the freeway.

Nice pics Leadfoot! Thanks for posting. I hope you all enjoyed the drive through the deaert at Gates Pass

And as far as Dee Snyder goes, "I Wanna Rock!!!" too. I remember seeing he had a Viper some time ago. 2001 bumblebee GTS. Does he still? That's awesome. He and Alice Cooper. If we can get Ozzy, all my 80s Rock Icons and I will basically be colleagues.

I gotta work on the settings with the GoPro. The gates pass pics are all different sizes because i had to crop and zoom to actually SEE the cars. In the original pics the cars looked like colored dots in the middle of the picture. What settings do you use with yours?

I have the original GoPro, so I may have fewer settings than yours. I just set everything to the highest res and whatever the standard aspect ratio is. The pics from Sedona came out fine except I didn't have it aimed correctly.
