The Computer is fried in my 2005 😢 what to do???

Hello all, just found out that my vipers computer got water demage from a car wash and its toast. My mechanic guy cant even get the codes out... The car is not running well, guages acting up, and altenator is putting out too much voltage. Can someone please help me is to how to fix this? I have an accsess to a used pcm, but im pretty sure its just not plug and play? Does it need to have imobilazer codes to be programmed? By whom and how? What else does it need?

    Thank you all

05 doesn't have immobilizer, but it does have theft alarm. you are best off with a new/remanufactured PCM.

Thats a pretty tough place to get water unless you have an 08 hood. Or, they were pressure washing the engine bay.

Dan is a good guy. I ordered one through John B for around 3 bones. They aren't as expensive as you would think.

If you want to ask others about my reliability, you may want to post a separate thread that people will notice.

    Nothing to hide here

And I just noticed that you are in Toronto...

As for my computer problem, my tech is sending my pcm to rebuilders. This way hopefully it will be plug and play after rebuild.
