Side Exhaust snake eye opening rings

With usage and time they darken up mostly at the bottom obviously due to exhaust. Is it best to clean these with a brush or microfiber application or sponge? Regular car wash fluid or better result with a different product?

Can you post a picture of what you're talking about?

Use a light metal polish, I like the lighter of the two Adams metal polishes on a microfiber. Rub it in and then wipe clean, good as new.

Good info. I like Adam's products (Super VRT and Detail Spray especially). I assume you mean their Number 2, correct? I'll have to pick some up and try it.

I really like Meguiars detail spray. I wipe the rings down once a week, they wipe clean and look brand new.. I use the same microfiber for this one.

Yes actually... Light metal polish and then detail spray for protection seems to be doing the trick for me now.

Also... cleaning after each use if possible and you won't need to use the metal polish as much.

Thanks. She's up on the lift for the week. Will take it down next weekend and take before & after pics.

Best I could get it. Used regular car wash soap from Meguiar, micro fiber sponge & towels. It blacken with use on the bottom (both sides) with use. No before pic. Got most of it out but other products and methods have got to be easier than the way I cleaned them.

I use this, works really well with very little rubbing.
