    vehicle storage questions (Winter).

    Hey Guys,

I'd like to put my Viper in storage for the winter. I've been calling around and it seems the majority of places offer indoor storage but not indoor Heated storage. It gets pretty cold up here in Canada and I don't want my car exposed to severe temperatures.

Is it pretty typical to not have heated storage up in these area's?

See if the garages are insulated. My garage isn't heated but insulated and the lowest it goes is generally 4-6 degrees. Mind you last year I think it went a few below zero.

I rent out the other spot to some guys off Kijiji. This year its a 2012 Mustang. Last year it as a PT Cruiser convertible.

Provided your antifreeze is appropriately mixed and battery is kept charged, severe cold will have no effect on the car at all.

The cold shouldnt be an issue. Just make sure the gas tank is full (no stabil), the tires are inflated with an extra 10-15 lbs of pressure, and you've got a battery tender on her and you'll be fine.

I am in Canada, on my 3rd Viper & never store in a heated garage. All is fine!

DO TAKE TIME to search the many, detailed multi-forum posts about precautions of winter storage, especially in the coldest climates.

a BATTERY TENDER is essential for any/all stored Viper whose battery stays aboard, even in sleep mode of later Gens.

I kept my car in a self storage company You could use a car jacket or a car cover to keep it away from dust.
