Try Jon B or Woodhouse which are site supporting vendors.

I keep the Belangers on the shelf, we have sold 33 sets for the GenV to date. We have Corsa or the Belanger catback kits also.

    Mark,

Will adding the Belanger exhaust and tune void the factory warranty?

Of course... it CAN, all depends on what breaks and why though. We do a good/safe tune and still gain 60+rwhp with this combo, have one that just rolled into the shop today for a Thursday dyno and tune.

We like to stay busy ;-) my FB page is proof of that and I don't post everything or you would all be bored with doing Belanger installs :-)

If it is OK with customer yes, sometimes they don't want the attention, part of the reason we don't post everything.

Do we have a Official GenV Exhaust Thread ? I would like to have the car a bit louder on the outside but I find that the cabin noise is already pretty loud with the lower gearing than my Gen2 which pretty much has straight pipes. It's also funny how the car seems loud outside at startup then gets quieter. I'm not sure if I will do exhaust but I'd like to hear some and get some thoughts on the overall effect on the car.

If you are doing headers and exhaust the stock tune does change, but when you tune it properly it sounds TOTALLY different in a good way ;-)

The Belanger or the Corsa seem to move the cabin drone up a few hundred RPM so if you have some stock drone when you are cruising then a change would probably help.

No aftermarket exhaust (headers and or aftermarket cats) is CARB approved for Gen 4/5.

Belanger uses a California spec cat and there are no codes or problems with a plug in test so unless it fails a visual inspection I bet it would pass on a GenV.

Hogwhisperer is an old drag racer and perfers to keep our finding secret for now. If anyone is close to him they may be able to ask, but I'm guessing he wants to keep it for the track ;-)

It was another successful day though.

California has both Visual and Sniffer Tests.

There may be some discretion on the Visual test. Technically, any part added to the emission stream needs a CARB stamp and number. This applies to Headers and CATS. Testers do not care too much about CAT-back exhausts.

There is no discretion on the Sniffer Test. Each car has a VIN and each newer car now has a barcode. The car is logged/scanned in to DMV, connected to a computer which is connected to DMV and tested. If your vehicle computer was recently disconnected, etc., you may not be able to test if there is not enough "history" logged on the computer. The test results go directly to the DMV and you receive either a PASS or FAIL. The Smog Test shop does not have discretion.

    So, CA is very tough.

The HPTuners keeps the rear o2 sensors working and there is no CEL I bet that the car will sniff better then stock and pass a plug in. Someone will have to try to find out, but I would be willing to bet it would.

If we did a tune, headers and full exhaust we could get approximately 60 more rwhp it sounds like. It sounds likes this would void our warranties though If not I know I would be jumping in on it.

Would test centers in CA even know what stock exhaust looks like on a Viper? I mean for a Mustang or Camaro that they see 3 times a day they know what stock looks like. But those pretty headers on my Viper? Yeah those came stock....

As Mark said concerning the warranty it depends up on what breaks and I will add, some it has to do with your dealer. I haven't had any issues with my TA since I purchased it in December, 2012 from Woodhouse. I had Mark install Belanger headers and Corsa exhaust before I ever saw the car and I absolutely love the sound.

Loud? Yes, loud but in a good way and it really only gets nasty loud when above 5,000 RPM.

Hmm so much to think about. I think the supercharger will be released late fall/winter time by mopar so I'm going to hold off until the spring. If no supercharger then i'll do the exhaust and tune. My dealer is Roanoke so I should be good.
