Gen 3/4 on 17" wheels - with stock brakes!

After doing some careful measurements, and using the proper forgings and barrels, I've figured out how to make 17s fit the front and rear of all Gen 3 and Gen 4 Vipers. I just received my first pair of rear wheels to try out, and they fit perfectly. All you'll have to do is install the typical parking-brake line swap kit, which is also needed for 18s and some 19s. No grinding, no clearancing. It even retains the factory parking brake.

This wheel is a 17x10.5, which I had built to run Hoosier 28x10.0x17 drag slicks. I also used the same wheel to test fit the front, no issues. I believe we can go wider on the rear, if people want to use them for road racing and such. I've personally never seen a 3-piece 17" wheel on any Gen 3/4 Vipers with factory brakes.

This isn't a cheap modification, but nothing looks better or fits like this. Example pricing, for drag or road racing combos.

    Drag: 17x4.5 front, 17x10.5 rear, standard finishes w/ polished lip = $3965/set
    Roadcourse/auto-x: 17x11.0 front, 17x13.0 rear, standard finishes w/ polished lip = $4350/set
    3-week rush build program available.
Can be sold with tires mounted/balanced

    Tony

I have 3 pairs of rears for my car. 17s, 18s, and 19s. LOL

Not yet. I wanted to be sure the wheels cleared, before ordering tires. Plenty of room for the tire, however.

    Nice looking wheel too.
Definitely opens up some new drag tire options.
    Thanks for making these available.

I am assuming these will also fit a Gen 2 with a big brake kit..?

It should fit, but only if the BBK is smaller than Gen 3/4 brakes.

Nice!! Can't wait to see the first photo again with the tire on the 17. Nice tall and grippy. More F1 looking.
