Great Reminder, Thx.!
Never quite understood why this keeps getting repeated. I've pulled apart a whole lot of engines from just about every era, and I've never once seen anything resembling corrosion that wasn't directly attributable to water getting into the crankcase. I've pulled apart engines that had been sitting 50 years with used oil in them, and the insides of the pans still looked like new.Change the engine oil and filter. – This will remove any corrosive combustion related acids in the crankcase.
