Looking for info on the Gen 4 head swap

    Hey Y'all,

Not sure why, but I have either blown a head gasket, or cracked a head. Until I pull it in the next few days, I won't know for sure. But starting to explore options.

Looking for info on the Mopar gen 4 head swap kit. Does anyone know if they ever released the gen 2 kit? I know they were working on it but don't recall seeing a Mopar PN for it yet.

    Looking for info like:

    - Cost
    - Whats included
    - If anyone has real world number on what HP is
    - Complexity of install
    - Exhaust manifolds bolt on? Or do I now need headers/Gen 4 manifolds?
    - Is a cam required to maximize the kit? Or are they pretty good thanks to the newer PCM?

Part two that goes with this is, what is the "weak spot" of our creampuff engines? Just pistons? Will 600-650 hp via heads hurt the lower end?

    Thanks.

    Robert

The P/S boss needs to be welded on and a Temp sensor boss needs to be welded on. Plus the exhaust manifolds will eithe rhave to be modified or you will need to get a set of Gen 3 exhaust manifolds because the bolt pattern is different.
