Looking for Gen 2 owner's manual

I traded up from my 146K '94 to a 15K '98. There are lots of doo-dads on the new car... power windows, adjustable pedals, door handles... Is there a PDF download of the owner's manual somewhere? I already have a '96 and '99 service manual so I think I can fix it, just need to learn how to "operate" it. Actually, I think I have the '94 owner's manual, so would be happy to trade for a model year that represents the '98.

Tom: Roeracing.com has the 98 Service Manual on line not sure about the Owners Manual. I would think there is one somewhere. Will see if I can find you one.

I was thinking there was a free download site, but it starts at 2004. Hopefully someone else on here can help. If not, I'm sure one of our great Vendors that advertise on here will have one for a price!

Thanks for the help with the manual.

Pictures soon; it's a silver/blue stripe but still looks like an SUV to me. Eibachs are on the way, will also cut down the spring caps and then it'll look correct and be "mine." Well, there is already a long list of things to do after that, also...

an SUV? Your Viper looks like an SUV?

Man, the northeast has a bunch of silver / blue cars! Love it... Can't wait to see some pics!

Although, you're asking for a manual for yourself, mine is a 98 and I can fill in the blanks in the meantime. Just let me know what you're looking for.

Well, what I would tell a noob (which I am fully aware that you aren't) is to look in the seat pocket on the back of the passenger seat or possibly the driver's seat. That's where I found mine.

I adapted spring perches for the OEM shocks and put ACR spring rates on my '94, so it was very low. Side sills took a beating. Compared to that, the '98 is way up in the air.

I know a little about fuel and automotive lubricants from being in product development/engineering at Texaco, now I'm at a chemical company that does R&D for the individual components that go into the additive packages that go into fuels and lubricants.

Thanks, Steve, nothing specific, just trying to learn about the things I've always heard about but never had. I know there's a keyhole in the glove box but forgot why, what is the red bulb on the dash, is there a way to open the hatch without a key... So far the only issue is the rear speakers are extremely faint, even with the fade turned all the way to the rear (I think the Alpine is the OEM radio?) Maybe there is an amp setting to adjust this?

I did look in the seat back pockets (another feature not on Gen 1) but nothing there.

I'll check out eBay. Thanks, everyone.

Red light on dash is for the alarm. No hatch release without using the key. I too, forget what the keyhole in the glove box is for, but will look at the manual tonight!

Can't wait to see some pics and hope to see you at some events. Between me, you and ghoststalker we can be the most common, rare color combo at some meets!

I believe that keyhole is to manually reset the car alarm.

    http://www.dodge.com/en/owners/manuals/

2004 and newer is DOWNLOAD A RECENT OWNER'S MANUAL FOR FREE .

You can also FIND & DOWNLOAD MANUALS FROM 1981 TO THE PRESENT and get service manuals for more than eBay (1998 was $88 vs. $40-$70 on eBay) and owner's manuals for about the same (1998 was $30 but $45 and up on eBay. Other years were less than $30? 1998 seems to be an expensive year on eBay...)

    Tom,

maybe this is helpful, too. It is the '98 owners manual in video format, so to speak. Guess, you have not received the original VHS tape when you picked up your car?

BTW: Great car that you have there (I own a '98 RT/10, silver, of course). One question though: those stripes don't seem to be factory, are they?
