The stripes do seem added recently. They are not paint; at the edges of the hood I can see the vinyl (?) wrinkles. So, how did you know?

By looking at the way the stripes go around the NACA....as opposed to through it (hoping that makes sense)...they appear to have been added later and not at the factory. Unless the silver/blue cars were different from the others...the stripes were painted.

I was able to get a hold of the video tape on Ebay some time ago. It is still shrink wrapped. I am just not sure, what year it is, it does not say on the cover.... I guess, one day I'll open it and get it transferred to a digital media (hope it's not too late already )
