yuuuuup! I got some!!!! for my t/a
I had my Gen IV next to the black gen V and my Gen IV was much higher. Looked like it was ready to 4 wheel compared to the Gen V. I should have snapped the comparo shot.
This was exactly the question I was about to pose but you answered it. The track I run at has over 200ft of total elevation change and have run into the same issue at stock height on my TA of grinding the splitters into the ground. I now see I won't be able to put these on my TA, but plan on putting them on my '13 GTS. Thank you for the insight Venom.
In my case, both, and when we removed the rectangular tire spats weeks ago the left side was worn down ~3/4". We were looking at my splitter wear strips on a hoist last week and the left side is being very smoothly ground down also, and almost back to where the retaining screws heads are. It only rubs in one very demanding brake zone on my home track where the car is braking into a rise as it is also turning right, loading the front left beyond what you could do on a level or even banked corner perhaps. I can't imagine what the TA 2.0's extended splitter wear strips would look like unless they change the spring rates also. Three other tracks haven't presented this extreme challenge, although I suspect with a 1/2" drop that scraping might happen around more tracks, particularly when running grippier tires that will load the suspension more. Light scuffing on track at stock or lowered ride height is unlikely to cause a problem with handling, the wear strips are replaceable, but clearing driveway and road construction stuff is already a serious challenge.

Had the caps installed before the club's Car Control Clinic the weekend before last, car ran great, handled very good, no issues, no scrubbing ( I already took off the square plastic air deflectors long time ago). Rear fender gap is perfect, front is still a little too much to my taste, but once the OEM tires wear out, taller R888's will probably fix it.
Got to get a set of these. I am assuming there would be no issues on a GTS?

Ordered mine today.
Zero issue with any scraping on track with my TA at COTA this last weekend. I drove the car very hard and had zero issues.

Hey all I ordered a set of these today. Can anyone delve into the install a bit?
Curious to know regarding installation as well.
so….how much are these caps ?
can i take the oem caps and cut em down ?![]()
I like this spring cap idea. I do wish they had an option for a full 1 or 1.5" drop. It would be nice to tighten that wheel gap up a tad More. I'm no road course guy. So that aspect isn't a worry.
Ok... makes sense.... car does look better than oem.... I think bruce here in so cal. Did something like it n had dan C. Install em.... will have to do that... after I get my front drivers side leaked out shock replaced first...
I had good luck installing these lowering caps. I do have a couple suggestions from my installations. The rear shocks will require a "helper spring" to keep the rear spring from unloading on bumps or when lifted on a hoist. The rear spring can lose its index for the bottom of the spring where it seats, this can cause the spring to rotate and fall out of the seat. The ride height changes and you get a popping noise.
You need to realign the car after installing these caps and you must re-bump steer the rear of the car. The bump steer on the rear of the car changes significantly, the rear toe link on the Gen 5 is so short, even the smallest change in height will make the car rear steer. You can feel a dramatic improvement after doing this.
My thoughts, yours may differ.
where did you source the rear helper spring?
