Sorry to see that. Definitely glad you are OK and actually came out ahead in the deal with a Gen 4! Be careful and keep on the lookout for the crazies around us.

OMG Alex!!! Glad you are OK, but I know that car was a pride and joy for you (and me as I was following some of your build ideas on mine). Glad to hear you have a Gen4 and I know it will be a Fine "Shinning" example.

Hey, the car did its job and kept you in one piece. Don't stress, you walked away and the car can be replaced.

Just to emphasize how hard you hit, if I'm not mistaken, the battery is about 12" inward from where it should be. With most normal cars, you'd probably have pins in your legs right now looking at the front end damage.

    Enjoy your new ride.

Thanks for all the kind words, it really means a lot. I got to get out of it unscathed which is more than I can say for some of the other viper mishaps. Onwards and upwards!

It shows how well built these cars are, that it can end up like that, and you walked away unhurt.

    Glad you're ok Alex!

Who are you insured through and did they cover your mod costs?

Nationwide. They did not cover modifications (although I will have it underwritten into my next policy).

What did they base your cars value off of?

Just clicked on the link back to this old thread......OMG! I had no idea this had happened, Glad your OK God all that work and time your put into that car, sucks.

But Going forward, your new ride looks great

Have to say that is one thing about insurance, people forget to include all the mods they have done on the car and many find themselves not insured because they did not declare the mods to the insurance companies!

Hopefully this thread might prompt some folks to take a close look at their policies.
