Throttle sensor electrical 2013 gts 500 miles

Ok had the car out tonight and out of no where it went into limp mode for about 30 sec then i lost everything. Car shut off i got off the road turnned the car off and restarted it went 1/2 mile and it did it again. I was able to get it back home after 3 more pull overs and restarts. Any idea what happened??? I will call the local dealer in the morning and have it roll backed to them. My question is what dose "throttle sensor electrical" mean.
    Thanks for any input.

Very simple - dash diagnostics or scan tool. Could be anything, a dirty MAF sensor has similar manifestations.

I just ran the dash diag. There are 4 codes crank sensor, pedel sensor, low voltage and 1/2 throttle timing sensor. It will start and run. So do i drive it 5 miles to the dealer or call triple aaa to come get it?

I'd drive. with a cell phone.
Sounds like a 5 volt reference voltage problem. Good luck. Can be hard to locate the issue because it will mess with so many things.

At least your still under warranty. Makes me want to start looking at extended warranties, just because of all the electronics..

I just made it to the dealer ship.. The car ran fine as soon as i pulled into the lot it went into limp mode again. I now have 5 codes and 4 low air pressure tires. I wasn't this worried when my kids where being born. Lol

Ok, that's damn funny.....good luck at the dealership. They should be able to get this figured out quickly.

Good luck , could be alot of things from a bad PCM , alternator, to a completely shot battery. Hopefully something simple , but with so many lights going on the case for a shot battery ( especially when you mention low voltage), is not out of the realm of possibilities.

Well its been a week and the dealer ship has not even had the car in a service bay yet. I stopped and talked to the "viper tec" this morning and he thinks sometime this week he should get around to pulling it in to take a lot see. Got to tell you the pucker factor just went way up. Anyone know of a great not good tec in sw pa? The stress level is climbing... The good news it has rained just about every day here so driving is out of the question.

AND here I was complaining about my horn sounding in the middle of the night. Guess I got lucky. Awful to see this stuff. Hope it gets sorted soon. Battery might have a bad cell. Keep us updated.

Dear Fstenuf,my wife and I broke down in Scranton,P.A. on our way to Detriot and the folks at Brown-Daub,big Mike had us up and running by 10 a.m. and never missed a beat the rest of the 2200 mile trip,I would recommend thier dealership highly, they have two Viper techs.Maybe too far for you but they bailed me out big time, good luck.www.browndaub512.com,Bob Hauser.

When I first got my 13 I had that happen. Unfortunately, when I killed the car for a restart it cleared the alarm buffer. It only happened once and I have put more than 6,000 miles on the car since. Good luck.

We'll heading into the end off week 2 and still no answers. As of now it maybe the crank sensor. The replacement will arrive wed. morning and be installed. While it was just sitting there waiting its turn a tech updated the PCM and the AC controls. Hopefully it is just a one time issue. I called Bernie in Texas today and told him what was going on. I have to say he is a great guy. He told me if this keeps up he will have his tech call up here and try to walk this tech through it. He also wanted to me to keep him in the loop so if this happened down his way he could trouble shoot it for someone else. Now in my book that's going above and beyond just selling a car. I am hoping this solves the issue. There is a cruse coming up in Oh,Pa and NY stopping and winery's and the beach. I really want to meet up with the other VOA clubs and show off my GTS. Thanks for the in put.

Ok i just got back home from the dealership and the final answer was the 5 volt harness was rubbing on the wiper motor housing and short to ground the crank sensor. They called mopar and there has been only one other gts with this issue. Am i lucky or what. Going to take it out this week end for a long drive and hopefully i make it back. The bracket that holds the wpier motor in place crosses the wiring harness going to the crank. They filed down the edge and the pin on the bracket and zip tied the harness over out of the way. As per mopar.

Sorry it took a while but hopefully this solves the issue permanently and you're back enjoying the ride. Sounds like a simple assembly tolerance issue which is good. Let us know how it goes and happy driving!
