Looking at picking one up for a DD GT model with the 2.4 engine.
Anyone one here got one? Just wondering how they hold up. I'm hard on cars...

yep, I have a 13 Dart Raylle, 2.0 with the automatic. Its a great little car, gets about 30mpg back and forth to work everyday.
I installed the Mopar chin spoiler to give it a little different look.
and a custom plate of course...
Just bought my wife a '13 SXT Rallye. Seems like a great car so far. Only has a thousand miles on it.
Where do you get aftermarket parts for this? I'm afraid to look under there and see a puny exhaust.
I really wanted to like the dart, but wasn't sold on the ride quality. I ended up with a 2014 mazda 3 instead.
I've owned my '13 1.4 Turbo/6-speed for 1.5 years now. SXT trim. Not a single problem (yet) in 14,000 miles. Great handling car, and great daily driver. Highly recommended.
I test drove the 1.4L once. I was expecting it to be crap based on what I had read online, but was pleasantly surprised. Its the same engine as the Fiat 500 Abarth, and has quite a growl for what it is. Yeah, you have to rev it up to get it moving but that kind of made it more fun for me to drive. I thought the handling was OK but you could tell it was a heavier car for it's size. For the fuel economy its probably a great car.
However, my girlfriend had little interest and ended up getting a 2013 Focus ST. We both love that car. Optioned out it was something like $27k and we have averaged 27 mpg over the life of the car so far. And its got 252 hp! I have Mopar in my blood, so it's tough for me to admit when something else is a good product
You need the 6-banger for the turbo to really drive nice - no low-end, but once you get into 2nd, and 2500-5000 rpm, she pulls strong. However, were I to do it again, I believe I would go with the 2.4, a very strong engine, from what I'm told.
I get high 20s on my commute, and have done 40+ on the highway. It's funny, because I'm used to high-torque manuals transmission vehicles - Ford Powerstroke, Viper, Wrangler 4.0, and I stalled this car a few times in the first week I had it! It reminded my of my mothers '88 RX-7 Turbo (engine is about the same size and HP). Except of course, that rotary in the RX-7 sucked down gas like a big block!
I'm all Mopar at the moment: Dart, 07 Superbee, and 03 Viper!

Yeah I think I'm going with the 2.4 with the 6 speed automatic. I don't like to shift except when I'm in the mood which is Viper time.
Good choice Sybil, I think you will like it!
Ralph told me at Carlisle last year that my combo: 6-speed +1.4T wasn't a good seller, and therefore I had a pretty low-volume car on my hands....great, another collector car....not!
Actually, there were many Darts showing at Carlisle this year, and I might show mine there as a change one of these years.
I think a SRT version is slated for 2015 in AWD and turbo. Im assuming the 2.4l will be used like in the old SRT neons.
Looks like I have a blue GT loaded with a sunroof coming...
Got a blue GT. The harder you drive it the harder it shifts. It hits the gears really hard for an automatic. Reminds me of the old days when you put a trans pak in a 727.
Picking it up tonight. I'll get some pics after I get the windows tinted and the rally stripe on. To plain right now.
