A "Gathering of Vipers" @ Lime Rock Park 8/31

You are invited to bring your car to “A Gathering of Vipers”

On Sunday, August 31, 2014 at Lime Rock Park in Lakeville, Conn. The Viper Owners Association and Lime Rock Park are organizing a Viper-only get-together at the famed 1.5 mile road racing circuit, during the Sunday in the Park Concours & Gathering of the Marques enthusiast meet.

All Viper owners are invited to bring your vehicles to join a display of the historic Dodge Viper GTS-R race car which had great success at the 24 Hours of Le Mans and the Daytona 24, all located in “Big Bend,” a.k.a. Turn 1 of Lime Rock’s road course.

Beth Paretta, the manager of the current Viper racing program, will be in attendance, and we are working on getting Ralph Gilles to the event as a Guest Speaker as well!

The Viper Gathering is being held as a part of the much larger Sunday in the Park event, which features 250 stunning examples of automotive history on the Sam Posey Straight in the Concours, and an additional 700-plus cars in the giant enthusiast meet called Gathering of the Marques, which stretches around and fills the entire 1.5 mile race track. The Honored Guest for 2014’s Sunday in the Park is Sir Stirling Moss, the famous British racing driver, and the Honored Collector is Ralph Lauren. Five of
Lauren’s cars will be on display – something that has only ever happened at the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston and the Louvre!

The cost is $25 per person, which allows you to park your Viper in the display next to the historic factory race car and gives you admission to walk through the entire Sunday in the Park event. Tickets must be purchased in advance by calling Ryan McIntosh at Lime Rock Park at 1 (860) 435-5000, ext. 305 – they will have a registration process specifically for this special display.

Space is limited, so don’t hesitate to get your name on the list and get your tickets.

When you called and purchased tickets, the packet they mail you contains all of the information. I don't have mine in front of me right now. It may also be on the Limerock website. I'll post the details when I get home tonight.

Good Question Richard! Regardless of how many sign up we'll create a meetup spot in Westchester so that everyone can cruise up together. It's a really nice drive especially in the early morning.

Looking forward to seeing everyone next weekend. This will be the first VOA event that my wife and I will be driving vipers to. She's bringing "her" GenV. I'm bringing my GenII. My daughters are coming as well.
