Brake pad recommendations

Go with Hawk HPS pads or ceramic if zero track time. I've tested many pads on my cars and these were my favorites for performance and extremely low dust.

+1 on the Hawk HPS pads. Love them so far on my swap and I've used them on the SRT8 as well....

I haven't used the Hawk HPS on my Viper, but I used them on my RX-8 for both street and track and really liked them.

I've been extremely happy with EBC reds. They do produce a fair amount of dust, but once heated up they stop like a mofo.

Yes actually a little over 93,000. still running strong. Bought it in 2007 with 2,300 miles on it. drive it every chance I get, nothing like driving a Viper!

EBC yellow and they were great this past weekend. Stock rotors, Stock calipers, Stainless braided lines, new AMSOil high temp brake fluid round out the system. Yes, they dust up the wheels... a lot... but dust = stopping power. And that is exactly what I wan the brakes to do! I can clean the wheels easily.

That's almost 13,000 miles a year! I only put 10,000 on my daily driver Dart (of course, I only have a 13 mile one-way commute to work).

13,000 is about what I put on the SRT8, Viper and Dart combined! Good to see how reliable these Vipers are in the long run.

Yes I have an elderly father who lives 3.5 hrs away and I make the trip almost every other weekend so she gets driven, although right now it is rainy season so not as much as I would like. I bought the car to drive it. I also have a company car as my DD, a wrangler for off-roading and a Ducati for blasting around. The Viper still gets the call more often than not.

Driving the DD is transportation. Driving the wrangler is always an adventure. The Ducati is an experience but the Viper, the Viper is just flat out one of a kind awesomeness!
In a town where the poor people drive Porsches, and Lambos, ferraris and maseratis are common place the 14 year old Viper still stands out and attracts a crowd!

My first choice would be Performance Friction carbon metallic, next the Hawk's.

I like EBC yellows. I had the stock Brembos and there was not enough bite. I tried the Hawk pads on a recommendation, was not impressed. Going back to EBC yellows as soon as I can.
