1996 Cast Wheels - NVE autocross events

I've got the original 1996 cast wheels ('96 GTS). I'm also going to NVE1 where there are some autocross activities scheduled. I know the cast wheels are weaker and some have seen cracking from track use. I've read a number of things on both sides and am looking for more input on whether I'd be putting my wheels at serious risk if I participate with them in the autocross activities this weekend.

My car is bone stock with the exception of mid-flow cats, and I'm running PS2s (fronts 2 years old, rears 4 years old). Hoping some experts and/or people with experience can chime in.

I am confident that on PS2, especially older rubber, you cannot / will not hurt the 17" cast wheels in an autocross...

If you had SLICKS, upgraded brakes, and were driving the Proving Grounds at an advanced-expert level, hammering the curbs, THEN I would start to worry,

Nice - safe to assume then if I bust 'em up then you'll offer me a discount replacing them out of sheer guilt.

Seriously though, thanks for the input.

Absolutely! My advice has a money-back guarantee too..............

[But you have to call me from MI later this week, and not just scrounge up some old Viper-Days Breakage afterwards!]
