1996 Valve Cover Question...

Does anyone here know why the first '96 GTS Coupes had the oil fill on the driver's side of the engine? At what point did they move it to the passenger side while updating the valve cover design? I first noticed it on Jay Leno's '96 and then on a few other early production cars.

What month was your car built?

Not sure if it was a Feb or March 1996. Original paperwork says its estimated ship date was 2/15/96, but the document status date is 3/15/96 - it was GTS #30 (15th made available to the general public I think)

FYI, Date should be on tag on the Driver's door tag.

Mine is on the drivers side.. VIN #33. I believe Revheat knows the answer, I remember asking him about it but don't recall the answer...
