Hood pad question

Anyone know if the Gen2 hood pad will fit a Gen1 ?? they look the same except on the sight side by the vent... looks like it will fit but B4 doing the work would prefer to know for sure,,,, thanks for the help.

No...they're different.

I have a new Gen2 pad for my '00 GTS that I compared to the pad on my '96 RT (gen 1 hood). At first glance, it looks like they would...but they are different enough that that do not interchange. I know some guys say they fit...but had to be trimmed a good bit and didn't fit the indentations of the gen 1 hood. I think most if not all of the holes line up for the clips.... but it doesn't fit into the recesses like it should and I thought it looked terrible.

I wish they did...and I tried...but it doesn't work.

THANKYOU,,,, it does look different but wanted to make sure b4 wasting any time on it,,,, I got 2 new Gen2 hood pads I'll trade for 1 Gen1 pad anyone???? lolololol

If your serious about getting rid of the gen 2 pad, I'd be highly interested in buying it off if you! Sorry, don't have a gen 1 pad though.
