Pedro does not comment here much, but I read where he said those were air vent rings were from an Audi TT that he had modified to work on the Viper. Not sure what modifications were needed though.

Correct they are from an Audi TT you have to cut the back of them to make them fit I'm still working on them.

I have 1 extra. I was thinking of putting it in my Jeep since it would be a direct swap or my Power Wagon since it would just be... badass looking. But I would consider selling it.

Not wanting to rain on anyone's parade, but the current airbag recall might specify a different part?

The recall only affected 03/04 Vipers AFAIK?

I had the recall done on my car and both of the air bags worked just fine.

You said that the airbag plug was the same. With it plugged in and ignition on, was the SRS warning light off? Even if it was off, since this is the wrong airbag for that controller, how can you be sure it will work? SRS diagnostic scan maybe? Heavy frontal impact?

That's an easy one to answer, air bags have different plugs for different systems if the plugs fit they will work, the gen v is more similar that what you think to the gen 3/4. You can also swap the workings ( the guts) of the air bags from one to the other if you like but not necessary.
