Want to keep factory front half for now. Cats and factory manifolds. Will this sound good on 97 gts? Does anyone have a sound clip? All I can find is full exhaust with headers or cat deletes. Thanks

do you more appropriately mean you don't want to spend the money right now. wait til you have the funds the sound is worth it. Also nothing but corsa unless you never want to give a female a second ride in your car ever again as they HATE drone.

I have customer ceramic coated headers, Random Tech cats and a Corsa exhaust. It sounds like a garbage truck at start up, but at idle and under revs sounds great with ZERO drone at any RPM.

Actually I have heard a few Corsa cars and they sound GREAT .......BUT not mean/angry enough for me at idle or under load. I'm not a huge fan of headers unless you start doing engine mods. As for cats maybe high flow but at a later date. Funds are there but I just see the need . I want deep and throaty and hopefully no cackle.

Do you feel with a belanger back half only, it will drone?

YESS DRONE IS CREATED. Only the corsa because of the gts style is the only one with rear exit exhaust. IF you had an rt/10 the drone wouldn't be noticeable. Try dynamiting your trunk. Also don't determine what you hear online. You can never feel the base that these cars make in real life. I understand your not a friend of headers unless doing mods, this car is backwards the headers are a restriction. You are doing yourself an injustice if you don't hear it with high flow cats headers and exhaust. The reason you want corsa now is if it s not loud enough headers will change that. All other exhausts sound better at idle but up top they sound like a muscle car and not an exotic like the Corsa. Hear one of these exhausts in real life before you make your decision. Don't go off what you hear online they don't sound anything like that.

I have RT cats and Corsa on my '97; and, Belanger, RT cats and Corsa on my '02.
I like the sound and look of my '02 better--I removed the heat shields and added AB wires and heat shocks.
And, although I like the sound and look of my '02 set up, I'm not going to add the Belangers to the '97.
I like having the difference between the two.

Well I'm sure the supercharger, TNT headers, no cats and Corsa scare people as I idle into car shows and idle down the highway. Oh, I have ported my intake, heads and use 1.7 rockers as well. My Corsa is loud at idle, cruise and WOT can be heard for over a mile. Cruizing down the highway at 50 - 80mph I can hear the passenger whisper ... no drone. The second car that I've owned that always gets me compliments on the exhaust. I also DID post a Paxton 600whp 2000ACR with stock exh manifolds and HF cats with Corsa. It sounded just as good as my Roe car, except much much quieter! I have video of this car on http://thevipergarage.com/index.php/topic,3535.30.html There are other videos of my car in that thread.

I had Random Tech with HF and stock exhaust manifolds on my 1998 GTS. It idled loud and sounded fine until WOT where it was pretty quiet ...
