Viper, Grand Theft Auto style :)

For those familiar with GTA, Rockstar Games (with West Coast Customs) created one of the in-game sports cars, the Banshee, as a real car. This was last year, as a promo for GTA V. It's based on a 2006 Viper. Well, it's now for sale on ebay for $170k. If you have the cash, you can experience what it feels like to be part of the GTA world (minus all the shooting, killing and apocalyptic rampage of course)

About $160,000 overpriced for what has been done to it.

The owner is in one of the Carolina's and has been posting over at the other club. They haven't been met with the friendliest reception. Nobody is impressed with what has been done to the car. The owner just won the car about 6 months ago, doesn't surprise me in the slightest....the price however is ridiculous. Just because the customizer thinks it's worth that much doesn't mean a hill of beans in this community.

$170k, couldn't even vacuum out the interior and it uses a piece of wood rod to hold the hood open...

IMO the owner will be lucky to see $30k for that thing. I would rather have a stock any gen than that hooked on Hifonics nightmare.

I'm all for customization if it looks good. This thing looks like poop on a stick. The front end looks like a mix between a Ford GT and Miata. The factory front end was better looking.

Suckers if it was, because they'll be eating a hell of a loss on that car.

You are gonna have trouble turning that thing back to stock. Knowing those guys, they took a torch and cutting to it. Who cares about some stupid GTA car when all those cars cant look like the originals to avoid copyrighting. I am pissed that this guy talked about how happy he was that he won the car and now is selling it. And if he wanted to sell it he would price it the same price that a regular comp coupe costs. And the fact that he listened to some appraiser. If anyone pays more than 50k for this thing they need to be 5150'd. I really cant stand west coast sucktoms. It is fine to bling out a Toyota hilux or some crap 80's gm car but a viper any viper will be ruined by customizing it. They should have done some stupid Corvette. It looks like a cross between some 90's Veilside Kit and some modern econocrapbox. It be like here is a fiero testarossa kit car ... Yeah thanks I guess.

I take it, you're more of a TETRIS kind of gamer

If that s implying I cant think out of the box then, no that is not correct. Their TV show just really pissed me off and I know different strokes for different folks. I just find it funny how the owner thought it was soo cool, but after it got blasted on the webernet he is so quickly ready to sell it. So I believe this owner is a tetris gamer as he listened to all the peoples opinion instead of just liking the car like he said he did with conviction. So please let some GTA game nut pay 100k for it good as long as he leaves it in his garage as a trophy. But oh wait people who obsess over video games tend to not be making money in the real world unless they make the games themselves. So it wont sell

Fixed income mom sap story trying every trick in the book. The defensive comments defending that shop. So rockstar games paid West Coast SH*tdoms 100k in labor to create this piece of crap that they just wrote off and the person who won it had to pay the taxes probably financing those and now trying to dump the car for at least the 40k in taxes they probably owe. Remember taxes on winning things can be almost 40 percent.

Such a dumb idea. GTA only made their own doofy looking cars to avoid paying royalties. This would be like if you set out to make a Carrera GT kit for a 911 GT3, but instead of basing it on the real CGT, you based it on an MR2 CGT kit, and put it on a 911 GT3, ruining it. When will people learn? Garish mods=valueless car. Go ahead and paint flames or mod your Viper with a neon green interior or cut a million vent holes in the hood; at the end of the day you'll have spent $15K to turn your $45,000 Viper into a $19,000 Viper.
