Google Glass, right now they aren't commercially available. I got a set for business use, (but also to play with). It allows you to take pictures, video, send text, get directions, basically anything a smart phone can. Right now they are a pricey $1500, but should be in the <$400 range next year when they roll out.
It is much like a HUD that a fighter pilot would use. It doesn't really get in your field of vision (though you can lower your head to see the screen)
I think it is fascinating because it lets you take pictures and record how YOU see things. I just got them today, so I don't have much to comment on yet. They are pretty lightweight and don't get in your way at all.
I don't see the "I'll wear them all the time" appeal, though I am sure there are people that do.
thought it was google glass.

Vipersmith,
I see you have your inspection/registration sticker in the lower middle of the windshield. Why? I have mine in the upper left of my windshield so I can see the awesome lines of the fender (blocked if in lower left), but now I am slightly interfering with being able to see up track and around the next corner. I might have to move mine to lower middle like yours.
no problem with ezpass though...lol

EZPass finally came out with a "smaller" version, it is to the right of the rear view mirror. had to play with it a bit to get it working right. But works great now and barely visible.
I maybe lying, but I believe that is where VA law stipulates it must be in that spot. Thats how I've seen every single VA inspection sticker!
Will be interesting to see if tracks will allow folks to use them ? I would think the issue would be peripheral vision and one wants as much of that as possible at speed with other machines on track with you. Just my thoughts,
Do they come in Black and Blue?
Bruce
WOW That is cool
Not sure how comfy that would be if you wear it inside a crash helmet?
I would imagen the track ruling bodies would not like that plastic bar along the side of your head inside a helmet, in a impact the battery pack? behind the ear could do your head some damage?
Cool toy
These work as well http://pivothead.com/
How are the ergonomics of it ?
What if you were speeding and got caught ??![]()
