RockAuto.com has the Goodyear Gatorback belts like OEM. The current Mopar belts look like a Dayco unit. I'd go with a Gatorback personally.
I'm sure any local auto parts place can order them for you too. Good idea to have a spare.
The local auto guys wont.. I like to deal with rock auto. Thank You. If I am looking correctly..those gator backs are not ribbed? or I can see the other side..LOL
Gates 7PK1973 for 1996 RT10 with aircon. Superb quality and inexpensive.
Thank You. I found the GoodYear belt 4070810 for $25 on rockauto. Good to know about Gates though, I had not heard of them before.

I see it now..LOL. Bought. Thanks.
You're welcome. See you at the Dragon.
Looks like you got it covered but...
Fresh belts, hoses and all fluids are desired for any long drive in a '96, especially if it's new to you.... Get familiar with your maintenance needs (if you haven't yet). Your clutch and break fluid reservoirs should look clear, like their filled with Budweiser (;-).... All belts and hoses should be fresh (no cracks) and give it fresh oil change too.... The rear end and tranny should be considered but will probably go the distance.
Cheers!
A/C pfffttttt I might leave the roof on, that helps![]()
Thank You. I got the spare belt, fluids will ALL be changed this weekend... now the clutch and brake fluids..is a little more like a darker ale...LOL. Probably wont get around to changing those this round...any easy way clean that fluid besides the old- pull some out...add clean, pump..repeat? LOL.
Bring the roof, just in case. Back in 2010 we got caught with a quick shower pulling into lunch. John had left his top at the hotel and had to borrow my emergency shower curtain. Still bummed we never got pictures of that because it was pretty funny.
Long drive? Good one.
There'll be plenty that can help out if needed. Good to be prepared
